Amazing hotel in Angra. All employees extremely polite and helpful. Large room, with beautiful decoration, everything with great comfort and refinement. Spectacular breakfast, varied, fresh, tasty and with a la carte options. Dinner included in the daily rate was divine, dishes well served, well presented and delicious. Huge pool, you want to stay there all day relaxing. Drinks and snacks served by the pool are equally incredible. Everyone on the team made my birthday celebration more than special, with all the congratulatory notes I received and a surprise cupcake at dinner. We had a perfect stay, I can't wait to return.

I am afraid that, after Fasano achieved a reputation as a 5-star hotel, with a lot of work, some hotels have become 4-star.
I really like Fasano Angra. The team has an already established charm. But I believe that the casual atmosphere, on the beach, makes people forget that it is a 5-star brand, not a guesthouse.
I arrived and at reception no one said “good afternoon” to me. I was left with nothing to do, while one of the people was behind a computer. I was waiting for “good afternoon, welcome to the Hotel Fasano Angra”, as before, in the heyday, 3 years ago.
All good. The huge hotel only has 1 restaurant open at night. And this one, the renowned Fasano, with 30 X 12, that is, 30 adults for 12 children. Breakfast, sometimes 10 x 10, 10 adults for 10 children. I witnessed embarrassing scenes, of screaming children and guests, adults, who are not parents, and there is no reason to listen to screaming, including me, looking at each other embarrassed.
I discussed this with a guest in the elevator, and she had the same opinion. She told me she didn't expect this frequency.
The kids club, a great place, completely empty. And the Club Marea pool, full of screaming children and water toys.
I was afraid that I would start being called uncle in the hallways. God awful.
Otherwise, it's still great: the spa is excellent, the rooms are good, the products are great, room service is excellent.
The manager Patrícia, excellent, very conscientious, elegant, and the older employees, showing friendliness and professionalism.
In fact, all the service in the restaurants is impeccable!

We spent three days at the Fasano Angra to relax and recharge before the new year. Despite the mostly gray weather, we enjoyed ourselves.
Pros: 1) Beautiful and comfortable rooms with luxury bath products. The tub was heavenly. 2) Service was great. Special shout-out to Ana at reception. She was extremely helpful. 3) We did a full day boat trip and were upgraded to a larger boat than we'd originally reserved. Highly recommend a day boating if you're in Angra. 4) Spa was wonderful. 5) The hotel has daily nature walks that are complimentary to guests. We enjoyed the short hike to a waterfall.
Cons: The resort was undergoining a series of pre-New Years preparations while we were there. This meant that at various points during the day beginning around 8:30/9 AM, there was periodic loud clammering, etc. as workers built a large structure near the pool. This also meant that the second restaurant on property was closed due to the ongoing work. While this wasn't the most inconvenient, we would have appreciated being notified about this in advance, and/or provided with some sort of accomodation due to the disruption. Having only one full restaurant option on site instead of two (with the exception of the small panaderia/bakery near the hotel's shops) made a difference. This also meant that the main hotel restaurant had long waits of up to 1 hour each evening, likely augmented by the fact that it was the only full restaurant open. As others have noted, the resort is isolated and within a gated community. Our two full days, three nights was perfect, but I'm not sure if one would need more time there.

Very bad, maintenance-free spa, mediocre food with no options, holes in the room wall, stained loungers, stained and dirty sauna. Very careful with the boat ride because it is another deception. Objects in the room full of grime, stick their fingers. Breakfast is mediocre, coffee is poorly made, hot products are always cold, so is everything in that hotel. I left three days early and they wouldn't give me my money back. Still struggling. A nightmare. They ruined my vacation. An abandoned hotel, without maintenance or management.

Disappointing, ungrateful food and very few activities to do. But my biggest rebellion is that even if there were enough beach chairs for the guests, they wanted my father an old gentleman to get on a waiting list to sit down. The hotel is new and modern, with all the quality of amenities you would expect.
But despite booking early in the year and requesting joining rooms it is expected for my wife and I to be on a different floor to our young children.
The service at the pool and bar is shocking, there are lots of staff but a large table was seated after we had ordered and they were served, had eaten and had left and we still hadn’t received our meals despite asking numerous times.
The management is none existent and ineffective as far as I can see. I have been here 24 hours and am still waiting for the general manager to make contact.
I don’t hold much hope for anything to be done as the staff’s attitude seems to be one of take it or leave it….
If you are looking for a family hotel with good service in Brazil then look elsewhere.

Last year, at the end of August, me and my family stayed at Fasano Angra and we loved everything about it: the property, rooms, restaurants, top notch service… it was so amazing that we decided to come back to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Well, it really makes difficult to put into word how magnificent was our recent stay… since the surprise upgrade during the check-in and small perks of care during the whole stay, we were simply overwhelmed. Fasano Angra is our little piece of heaven in Brazil and no other place makes us feel as well as Fasano. Everything is superb, but if we had to choose one thing that stands out above all the rest, it has to be the staff: Jeff, Camila, Monteiro, Lornea, Gregory, Tia Carol, Firmino, Alexandra and Tainá, they are absolute incredible! Thank you for making our stay and my wife’s birthday celebration an unforgettable onel! We can’t wait to be back!

Nestled within the lush mountainous landscape of Angra dos Reis lies this gem of a hotel. We were here on family holiday and I have to say, this has one of the most beautiful facilities I have ever seen. The pool speaks for itself with an unobstructed view of the vast ocean, comfortable beach chairs and umbrellas. Aside from that, we found the staff to be incredibly attentive, as they remembered what we ate and drank on the previous day. I also had a lovely facial and the spa is also generously equipped with a steam room, sauna, huge indoor pool and whirlpool. Really, a stay here is highly recommended!
