I've stayed for 3 nights at Bourboun Cataratas for a convention, and I really enjoyed my stay. Rooms are confortable (although I agree that the decoration is very 80's!) and the staff is friendly and polite. I really apreciated the "ecotrail" they have, where you can exercise, or simply go for a pleasant walk. For the kids, they have a...

This hotel truly is 5-star for Iguacu - it compares favourably to a Marriott or Fairmont in North America. The rooms are nice, the amenities are good (including mini-bar, satellite television including English news channels, and a beautiful washroom). However, the price is expensive for Brazil. Additionally, for this cost, Internet really should be included. At the moment it costs...

I'll have to agree with several of the others recently posting reviews of the Bourbon. One guide book I consulted listed this as one of the 10 best hotel in Brazil. I think NOT. It does have nice features. The public areas are pleasant and the gardens and small zoo on the premises are great. But our group too had...

Rooms a bit basic - bathroom with low single wash basin, no bath, so-so shower. Requested two rooms with connecting door - happened with no hassle, but on front of hotel rather than at back overlooking pool area which would have been nice. Pools were excellent, kids' club looked excellent but under-subscribed during our stay. Only food choice was buffet...

The infrastructure of this hotel is very good, with large public and leisure areas and attractive grounds. It boasts four restaurants, only one of which was open during our stay and it only served a buffet. We got A la carte the second night with a struggle. Some of the waiters have an attitude problem. Buffet breakfast, however, was great....

We stayed here for four days at the end of November. The old saying, "You can't judge a book by it's cover" was never more true. The property itself is amazing. There is a walking trail through a forest and garden and some cages where birds are being kept for breeding. The pool area was very nice, but the tile...

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting the falls... the staff was lovely. The hotel is exceptionally clean and well maintained. We loved the pool and indoor jacuzzi as well. There aren't a whole lot of choices for food but the breakfast buffet was great. There is not much going on in this town - so we had no...

Umm, 1980 called and they want their hotel back. My mom and I stayed here for two nights and could not stop laughing about the decor. While the hotel is perfectly clean, it has not been updated in ages - I felt like I was in a time warp! But, the staff was very helpful, the garden was lovely, the...

A truly awful experience! We stayed for 3 nights over New Year & endured a hotel that was run like a holiday camp. The cheesy euro-pop styled music at the pool commenced early in the morning & did not stop till after sunset! During the day we were subjected to aqua-aerobics & various other pool based activities during which the...

The foyer to the hotel is very impressive, beautiful white leather couches, a sunken seating area, a chandelier, but this gets your hopes up about the rooms. When you get out of the elevator the hotel is decorated in 60s/70s retro and the colours are very dark. Our room was a bit musty, the minibar fridge was very old and...
