My friend and I stayed here for a long weekend. We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was sweet - from the people in the lobby to the cleaning staff. The included breakfast was really great, including fruit, bead, cake and warm dishes like scrambled eggs. We also had dinner here one night, we unfortunately didn’t like it, but luckily there are plenty of great restaurants very close by.
The beach was way closer than we first thought, you can see it when you stand outside the hotel. The WiFi worked great in the common areas, but wasn’t very stable in the hotel room.
If you’re a light sleeper this might not be the hotel for you, as its not soundproof. There’s a gab under the door so all noise from the street goes right into the room.
The pool was great and was mostly used in the late afternoon/evening. The whole hotel was beautiful and had a cozy feeling to it - music playing on the speakers from early morning to late evening, stopping around 10pm. I would pick this hotel for my next visit to Fortaleza also.

I was in February to celebrate my birthday. The hotel is well located, close to the beach market and a beautiful coastline to walk at night and eat something.
The decor is beautiful, I felt at home. Very attentive staff. There is a restaurant where I ordered something to eat at night, as I didn't want to go out. Easy to call Uber and there is always a taxi at the door. An important point for me, the hotel offers a voltage reducer, as my toothbrush is 127, and just ask at reception and they will lend it. Wi fi in the room is reasonable.
The only negative point was that the air conditioner in our room didn't cool enough, I asked them to look at it several times, a technician in the room didn't fix it. The very attentive receptionist, I think it's Carlos or Marcos, I forgot... very kindly found me a fan since they weren't able to change our room.
A tip for hotel management to make it even better, there needs to be interaction between employees when changing shifts so that the guest doesn't have to repeat the same situation. Furthermore, the hotel is beautiful, highly recommended for families with children!

The hotel, which appears to be small, is actually very cozy and welcoming.
The hotel's common areas are not crowded and the location is also great: just a few meters from the Avenida Beira Mar promenade and walking, you arrive directly at the (huge) crafts fair.
Room cleaning is done daily, with towels changed every day.
Breakfast suited our daily routine perfectly.
The restaurant's cuisine is very good, varied, and reasonably priced (we had dinner practically every day at the hotel).
We cannot fail to highlight the cordiality, education and helpfulness of ALL hotel employees, from reception to the wait staff who are always very attentive.

I recommended the hotel for a group trip by the company, because I already used it on vacation years ago. What a disappointment!
I arrived at 20h and was placed in a room adapted for physical disabled, on the ground floor, with several failures, with air conditioning ventilating at 26 degrees and strong odor. The room had no window and if the door was opened all passers had visibility to the inside of the room.
I requested change and the attendant looked at me with contempt and informed that there was no room available and I should try the next day.
I waited for the shift between the attendants and asked again, the attendant Leo was much more kind and helpful, prepared to make the shift in the period when I would be out of work. When I arrived my suitcase was already in a more pleasant room, no odors and with air conditioning working.

I had already booked a private diary to give continuity in the hotel after the company event, I paid 528 reais for a diary in a double triple room.
They put me in a standard room with two single beds. Again I had to complain and the exchange was made for a room with 4 single beds because the room I booked and paid in advance no longer had any available.

The only good experience in this period from 22 to 25/08 was the attendance of Leo, who works in the evening shift. He stands out in education and commitment to trying to mitigate the failures of the establishment.

I stayed one night, from Friday to Saturday, for work. I confess that I was fooled by the hotel's website, the daily rate and the fact that it was rated 4 stars on the website of the agency that serves my company. I expected more.
Strengths:
- the pillows are great, which is rare in hotels. That's because I'm very picky about pillows. lol
- They allowed me to do a late check out and I was able to enjoy the beach before leaving.
- room, despite being small, was quiet, because it did not overlook the pool area.
- bicycles available.
- location
Negative points:
- At reception they informed that breakfast would last until 10:30 on Saturday. I went down at 9:50 am and at 10 am a girl passed by the tables informing me that they were going to start collecting the coffee. There was another guest who had recently arrived as well, with the same information. When I asked, he replied that coffee hours were until 10 and that he couldn't do anything. I asked to speak to the manager and he confirmed the information, but said we could have the coffee in peace due to the incorrect information. However, 10 minutes later they started to collect and I couldn't eat my breakfast calmly. Furthermore, I found the coffee to be simple, compared to other hotels of the same level.
- The pool was being cleaned at 9 am and its use was prevented for most of the morning.
- The hotel reception is the same for Villa Smart, a simpler hotel, which is next door. The reception, which is small, with only 2 or 3 people attending, was always crowded, with the sofas occupied by families waiting for rooms. From what I could tell, the vast majority of these guests were for Smart. This chaos is not consistent with a 4-star hotel.
- The pool is small and was always full. I don't know if the two hotels share a pool, but based on the photos on Trip Advisor, I assume so.

Summary: despite the positive points, you can stay better while paying the same price in other hotels. Villa Smart should have a better cost-benefit ratio, especially if it uses the same structure.

Experience of feeling welcomed from the reception to the 24-hour room service, which by the way is a differentiator in the hotel industry in Fortaleza. What a charming place with refinement from rustic European to contemporary, special service from Keully, a waiter who serves us differently, from his Italian accent to his juggling of serving drinks in the pool with a smile, joy and spontaneity that was the icing on the cake when we arrived and there he was, very friendly, talking about the hotel's services. European structure with details in affective memories silent cleanliness when you only hear the waterfall, making it so that I didn't even remember that I was in the middle of the seafront between buildings on the edge of Fortaleza, the sensation was truly of immersion in such a charming place. I will return yes and enjoy breakfast again and that breaded shrimp snack that was a memorable taste at dinner, it was a quick stay we couldn't do the spar which is another of the charms of the Hotel Villa Mayor

GOOD - The place actually looks like a small village and is very beautiful. The employees are very attentive. The breakfast was very tasty.

BAD - There were many flies on the food at breakfast. There are rooms right in front of the pool. I was placed in one of these rooms and it was a horrible night as there was no way to rest properly due to the noise of people walking around but, fortunately, they managed to move us to a quieter room. My mother has mobility problems and was placed in a room that could only be accessed by climbing 2 floors of stairs, but the staff also managed to change her room to where she could access via an elevator.

In short, I would definitely go back to this hotel but I know I need to send some requests regarding the room. And I hope they solve the fly problem at breakfast.

Initially we were supposed to stay in the Standard room, but it was very damp and had a musty smell. The room is very cool in itself, I believe that solving this humidity problem is a great option too.

We requested an exchange and they gave us an upgrade in the daily rate. We went to the Charm category room and everything was perfect, very clean and organized.

Out of 10 employees are always helpful, smiling and polite. I will definitely be back soon.
