Detailed Reviews
We stayed at the Vila Galé in Fortaleza this summer. We were looking for a hotel close to the beaches and the city, and with a good affordable price. Already with food included and room service, and we couldn't miss the pool. And we couldn't be happier with our experience.
It’s a four-star hotel, from the pictures we were expecting the building to be modern but in fact it has a very rustic style inside. One thing that surprised everyone was that the rooms were very large and comfortable and the bathrooms were also very large. Besides, the service is super good because there people are super friendly and funny. However one thing that should improve is parking because one of the parking is private and the other is shared with the hotel in front, and the convenience stores inside the hotel were not good because there were no things that should have (like slippers and swimsuits), not just souvenirs.
This hotel is obviously not that cheap, but it is worth the price because it is a very quiet place, very well located, with a beautiful view to the sea, with some very good foods and activities for children. This hotel is ideal for going with children up to 7 years old because it has many activities, and to go with friends too as it is cheap and quality. My final grade is 4 stars. Very good hotel !!!

I stayed at Vila Galé for a few days, I thought it was a good hotel, but with many areas for improvement.
We stayed in a huge room (3048) facing the sea. As I had two children, this was the only accommodation option, which had two rooms (main suite and an anteroom with sofa bed, also with its own bathroom, two balconies). The room is comfortable and quiet, but the bed is very old and is already sinking in on the sides, making it impossible to sit down without slipping. Another negative point about this room is that the Wi-Fi simply doesn't work. Additionally, the hotel does not provide bath amenities. I didn't take shampoo and conditioner, as I've stayed in very inferior places that provided them, but there they just put liquid soap on the wall that looks more like detergent. I found it extremely miserable.
The breakfast is excellent and very varied, but the stress we went through every morning was not worth it. They are clearly understaffed and don't care. EVERY day I had a problem with the table (several tables free, but dirty, there was no one to clean), lack of plates, cutlery, bowls, glasses... and the hotel was so full, because as I said, several tables were free and we went at different times. What was supposed to be wonderful ended up becoming a nuisance every morning.
Anyway, I wouldn't go back despite the positive points and the good location.

Internet, room, cleanliness, good friendliness
The video games were broken, the pool table needs maintenance
The pool needs to stay open until at least 10pm, you go for walks during the day and want to enjoy the pool at night when it's not so hot and it's closed
Food can be cheaper, it's a lot to pay 75 reais for a dinner that you don't even eat much, the items in the minibar can also have a lower price
The daily price can also be reduced, the hotel had several empty rooms, but the price does not go down
It was one of the best hotels I've stayed in so far, the location is great too

Breakfast top notch, dinner top notch, impeccable rooms reception very attentive to a PH waiter who cares about the best service. In short, we will definitely return to this hotel. And the Portuguese brewery is very good.

Hotel with the best beach for swimming in Fortaleza, in front of Praia do Futuro. Beach sometimes has strong waves, but it forms some quiet pools and sandbanks for swimming, without pollution, unlike other places in Fortaleza. Hearty breakfast with good replacement, restaurant dishes well prepared by the team. Cervejaria Portuguesa beach bar with good dishes and no crowds. The exception of the hotel is the swimming pool, which should have water heating to keep up with the sea temperature. Security agencies vehicles routinely in the region. Hotel waiters are always polite, in a good mood and helpful, especially P.H., Cícero and Adriano.

It is the second year that I, my wife, son, grandchildren and nephew, spent my wedding anniversary at Villa Galé. In this hotel we have everything good: comfortable rooms, clean and clean every day; smiling, polite and very helpful staff; excellent breakfast; pools with bars and toys for children; fair prices; an excellent bar-bar-restaurant on the beach, with clean baths and shower; and super helpful beach waiters. One difference of great importance and which justifies your choice for Villa Galé is that on the occasion of check-out you can continue to use the hotel's goodies until the time to go to the airport such as: pools, beach bars, bathroom and shower to prepare for the trip, and also give you a towel to dry up. It is for this and for others that my favorite hotel is the Villa Galé. Special pleasure for Jennifer, Ketelem, Tiago, Denys and Paulo, from the reception, Fran and Alice from the restaurant. Roberto, quarto 1062.

We had an excellent experience at Hotel Villa Galé. The service was impeccable, especially with the support of Santiago, Fernando and Katrin at the reception, who were always helpful and welcoming. The hotel offers a great value for money, with a privileged location, making it easy to access various attractions. The food is also of high quality, offering variety and taste. Certainly, a right choice for those looking for comfort and good care!”

+1
I spent 10 wonderful days at the Hotel Vila Galé Fortaleza with my family. The super friendly hotel staff is caring, the international and regional dinner wonderful with various options every day, the dessert also impeccable. The pizza and the hotel hamburger very tasty, fine pasta pizza. Breakfast very good and varied, with hot cheese bread roasted on time and served at the tables, the tapioca a delight and made on time. The room is organized every day, we can pick up towels for the pool at the reception. Lots of fun for children, with children's pool, playground and cinema.
The hotel is amazing, very good indeed, super indicated and want to come back more often.

We stayed in the hotel for over 7 days. It is located very close to the beach (across the street), the neighbourhood may not be the best one but you can easily get Uber ride to the city center. The hotel is well maintained and staff is nice and very friendly (especially Adriano from the restaurant/beach bar - was very responsive and always when needed). We defiantly recommend the place!

After staying for a week at Hotel Vila Galé it is clear that, despite the investment made in its structure, there is a serious problem in people management. Overworked employees, without the slightest training in customer service or even in their own role, which seemed to rotate randomly. The poor management of staff and the Hotel itself was quickly exposed.
Some employees, on their own initiative, tried to plug the holes that were being created by the lack of efficient and clear management.
Meals that “appeared” on the table (or in the room) every day with a different quality, quantity and ingredients; cutlery, glasses and plates even stained with lipstick; dirty towels with holes; lack of staff on the beach to organize tables/chairs; dirt from the previous day (I mention here beer cans, pizza boxes, wines, glasses, beer bottles) scattered in the pool area and inside the hotel due to insufficient staff shift hours; again: bad management.
Clearly the employees were overworked and frustrated with having to take over things from previous shifts and it showed to everyone who was staying.
There was a Manager, a tall man, extremely aggressive and harsh with other employees and disdainful towards guests.
The breakfast was the worst I've ever had in a hotel, every day the same old, hard bread was served, clearly everything was reused for days on end, not to mention the lack of variety and staff, who only arrived in larger quantities after 8 am, with the cafe opening at 6:30 am. For several days there was nowhere to sit, there was no cutlery and I was even almost late for a trip because the employee who served the tapioca omelette had to clean up the mess from the night before to be able to serve the coffee.
I am vegetarian and lactose intolerant and it was impossible to request any changes to the dishes served at the restaurant, pool or room service. My options for 1 week were fries, risotto or salad. It wasn't even possible to order the pepperoni pizza without pepperoni because it didn't have the cheese that was written on the menu, one of the only ones I can eat without getting sick. Not to mention the portions that were 200g one day, 400g the next, but the price was the same. A real absurdity. When I ordered a hot mix from room service, the bread was old, dry and hard. This was when it took no more than 20 minutes for them to answer the room service phone. There was a situation where I had to call reception to request room service and they simply didn't respond.
There were dishes that were marked as vegetarian on the menu, but contained meat; I cite as an example the pastry on the menu at the beach restaurant.
I will definitely not be returning and I do not recommend the hotel.
I really hope they receive the criticism and improve.
Few employees and those that do have, totally unprepared, untrained, completely lost, grumpy, elevators always with problems, 5-star prices, more services than one, horrible.
