My wife and her brother and I stayed here for one night. We booked for 2 nights but after checking in, decided to find a room somewhere else in the morning. Beds were uncomfortable. Bathroom was dark & dingy. Everything just looked dirty. I'm not sure what "housekeeping" does, but I could have made the whole place look much nicer in ten minutes with a rag and some cold tap water. Even the button you press to get the elevator looked like something you wouldn't want to touch. Also this hotel boasts that it has a pool. I’ve been in Jacuzzis larger than this “pool”.
We weren't even sure we wanted to have breakfast there, but it was included in the cost of the room. So we "inspected" the dining room and it seemed well-kept and the food appeared safe. There was, however, only one other table of guests eating the whole time we were up there.
The location of this hotel can't be beat, and the dining area did have a great view, but unfortunately these facts alone don't run a successful business. Not only didn't the man at the reception desk care to ask why we were leaving, he didn't even appear surprised at all. Just a few blocks away we got a much nicer room at the Hotel Ibis with free wifi (and a real pool) for about the same price.
