Hotel with a great location on Iracema beach. Close to restaurants, pharmacy, supermarket, central market and city center. Hotel reception is very weak and on a daily basis there is only one person serving, which at peak times does not support the flow of people. Hotel separated into two buildings that are separated by the street. The only leisure area is the swimming pool, which has one in each building and is not very attractive.
Old buildings that are poorly maintained require attention from the owner in this regard. We had a problem where there was a short circuit and even burned one of our devices that was plugged in, reception didn't provide a solution until I left and didn't offer to pay for the damage, they don't make decisions there. Rooms are extremely small and poorly maintained in terms of maintenance and cleaning, lots of cobwebs in the bathrooms and mud on the tiles. But the cleaning team are extremely charismatic and attentive when you ask for something, for example. They always do the best they can there.
Simple breakfast, but very well served by the kitchen team, a lot of affection from the employees, especially Dona Regina and Stephanie, who are spectacular. Tapioca, pancakes and omelette and couscous farofa are the best things in the cafe. I recommend asking Stephanie to prepare it with great care.
Reception in the adjacent building is very attentive, especially Mr. Cleito and Elias, who are extremely good people.
I recommend staying at this hotel just passing through and for those who don't want luxury, the hotel has a lot of room for improvement.

The hotel is old and the worst thing is that there is no elevator, we had to climb two flights of stairs with our suitcases in our hands. The room is small and has old furniture, but the bed is good and the bed linen was very clean. The surprising thing was the breakfast space, it is in the property next door and it is wonderful.

Pros: price (good value for money), location (one block from the beach), an amazing local food restaurant Brazão just round the corner

Cons: worn-off room equipment and facilities, reception area can get rather busy in the morning as there is only one staff.

Overall it´s a solid 2-star hotel. Definitely do not expect any thrills.

Cool place - nice staff which some of it do know english. Great location and breakfast.
However...the wifi didn't work so good all the time and the rooms was a little small. The toilets worked bad, but...maybe it was only the specific room's problem.

Hello Etay. Thank you for choosing and staying with us. Your feedback is very important for us. The wifi system is being remade, we have a brand new and modern rack, and we are changing the old wifi routers for new unify routers with greater range and stability. Soon it'll be finished. About the room maintenances they have been made as soon they were identified. We hope to have you back soon. Regards, Bianca Bento General Manager

Not a nice area to be, but seems that Fortaleza needs a lot of improvement for tourist and safe areas. The hotel is a 2 area, with one across the street. The room is very small with a small Tv and mini bar. The bathroom is super small, hard to close the door without getting into the shower. The AC worked great but the linens are cheap and the towels which you can not get more than 2 are thin and very used. The breakfast is average and if late be ready to wait for 20 min for more food. It seems the hotel is not ready to accommodate a full occupancy. No one speaks Spanish or English and the costumer service is poor. There were always 3 policeman outside the hotel. I did not like fortaleza at all, is dirty, no trash garbage can on the streets, there cars don't care about the pedestrians and not much security at all. Not sure how the Brasilian tourist association allows to be posted with 3 starts, in my country this is a 1 start or better say a Motel for backpacking trips.

The hotel is in two buildings. Breakfast is in one of the them (not the main reception building).
We started in a room right on the road, which is never quiet and aircon not working and no wifi. We asked for a change and got a great room in the main building with aircon, wifi and away from the road....made our stay so much better and was no hassle sorting this. Breakfast was great with a lady cooking crepes and eggs.
Two streets away "ladies of the night" patrol the street corners so not the most pleasant of neighbourhoods after dark.
3minutes to beach and numerous restaurants. didn't test pool but looked inviting.
I would stay here again but only for a good room.

Booked this place for the World Cup December last year for 17 nights. Not much around and what was available they wanted crazy prices. We knew it was going to be not what we are used to but really the choice was not there at the time. Seems like when you arrive everyone is put in the smallest room imaginable. We asked to be moved straight away as we are spending so many nights there and that is not suitable, which they did. The accommodation is very standard although clean. More like a good 2 star. The Position good with Restaurants and beach all around the corner. All rooms have a small fridge and air conditioning, which was needed. Only Wilton and the manager Bianca ( both are very helpful staff) speak English so if they are not working be prepared for a struggle. Breakfast was every day was hit or miss. Most mornings out of fruit or milk, ham or cheese. If you wait long enough they do top it up, so if you have the time, it can be OK. They do cook eggs & on letters so another plus. Wouldn't stay there again but would be OK for people on a budget.

Hello David. How are you and your wife doing? I feel very sorry we couldn't please you more than that. I'm working on hiring more bilingual staff. I'm working here since january of this year, after a 20 years manager that went working in another hotel. I've made a lot of changes beginning with the building structure that was left aside those past years, when i arrived actually they didn't even have bilingual staff. that was my priority since then and now we have Wilton and i during the day, and Israel at night but I still working on that. About the room sizes, I decided to publish the sizes at the web sites and agencies so the guests don't be surprised when they arrive. We have a DBL 13m², a TPL 16m² and a QPL 20m². The pictures of the rooms are updated ate the web sites so people can have an idea of what they can wait for. I'm also working on the breakfast team and making the necessary changes to make the breakfast replacement work well. As i told you, the basic wage in brazil is not enough for people to get qualified, most people don't have enought education and the turnover is pretty high, so when i think i almost have my team complete, somenoe is offered 50 reais more and they leave the hotel not thinking about getting qualified, getting experience and making a carrer here. I'm trying to change this culture at the hotel, but i need time for that. I hope you understand, is not only here, is general. We have this great triumph to be in a nice place at this historic neighbourhood, and we started this new kind of breakfast variation. Now i'm trying to change all the rest, but i can assure you the next time, even if you don't stay with us, come visit us and see the changes we're making. It was a pleasure to have you both here and we are glad for your feedback. Thank you very much and hope to hear from you soon. Regards, Bianca Bento General Manager

I stayed in the annex, building next to the main building. We were three couples, one in each room downstairs. We all complain about: mould smell in the rooms, mud on the bathroom tiles and lack of hot water in the showers.
Of the six days we stayed only 2 in the morning the water warmed; in the afternoon we had no day hot water.
At the check-in, the attendant offered to store our bags at the reception while the room was ready, so we went to lunch, on the return we had a problem with temporary disappearance of one of the bags, which was delivered to another guest, who only returned after consultation to the cameras and our pressure with the threat of calling the police.
To conclude, last night, before I went to bed, I saw a little scorpion (child) walking in the room, did not have time to kill, because this ran and lodged in the fridge of the closet, below, washing to the floor.
They offered to change room, but who assures me that in the other rooms there would be no scorpion.
Lack of care, maintenance and dedication.
Horrible experience, despite the sympathy and kindness of all the staff, by the way, kindness that seemed to me to be characteristic of the cearense.
Photos of the Listing well taken but do not match the current mess.
Positive points: location, breakfast and employee sympathy.
