My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Casa do Amarelindo for 2 nights - not consecutively though - in Sept 2008. Before I get into the details of our experience, I will mention that September is off-season for Brazil and I think our experience would have been largely different than if we had gone during peak season (i.e. December -...

After 36 hours on the road/air the sight of the biggest (and most comfortable) bed we have ever seen/slept in almost made us weep! Hotel was wonderful, staff were friendly and helpful and the food (we had dinner and breakfast there) was outstanding. These guys have got it right, puts British hospitality to shame.

An lovely little hotel, friendly staff, clean and beautifully decorated with excellent attention to detail. Lovely big bed with crisp fresh sheets - perfect after a 20 hour journey getting there from London. Located one minutes walk from the old town square which had a band and capoeira displays late into the evening. I doubt there is a better hotel...

This place is like heaven. Everything is ultra modern, and much thought has obviously been given to the decor and facilties. It is perfectly situated in the old town, and staff are helpful in providing information about local attractions. The breakfasts are amazing, and it is definitely worth staying in for dinner, finished with cocktails on the terrace with a...

This colonial building has been beautifully restored into a hotel with 10 rooms. Our room had a large bathroom, a massive, comfortable bed and a good view over the town below and the port. The hotel was kept very clean. The staff were always helpful and attentive and breakfast was delicious. The location in the old district of Pelourinho was very...

Just wrapped up my summer with a four-day stay at the wonderful, dreamlike Amarelindo and I'm having a hard time adusting to the gritty reality of NYC! For the past week, I've actually been looking at my calendar trying to plot a retrun trip as soon as I can. Perfect location. First-rate staff. Spotless room. Great restaurant. Believe the reviews:...

My husband and I were in Salvador just the one night and stayed in this hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the decor was beautiful. Breakfast was lovely and both the room and the bathroom were large with a huge bed and huge shower. The terrace bar is great for watching the sun set and the hotel...
