Look for alternative hotel, the worst hotel I have stayed in. I dont think it has had ANY money spent on it in the last 15/20 years all VERY dated and falling to bits. Breakfast ok.

As a builder I and a founder of Taj Mahal hotel I still remember that time was excellent of SARNEY as a President when it started in 1987 and finished in 1991 in time of new president COLLOR and time was ruin very ruin..........!

Tal Mahal already had its days... Uncofortable rooms , no water on some days - at a 100ºF, average temp. - bad service and food

I have stayed at the Taj Mahal many times over the past 6 or 7 years. Its always barely adequate but convenient. There are worse hotels. The only redeeming value about this hotel is that its close to the Opera House and the markets down...More

its on the main avenue where the shuttle drives, but if you arrive late night I highly recommend tô take a cab because the nearby blocks get little unsafe at latenight
