What a find. Needed to find a pet friendly hotel near Belmopan and stumbled on this jewel of a propert right off the highway. It is 15 min from Belmopan, 20 min to Spanish lookout and 30 min to San Ignacio .

Owners met us as we arrived and were very gracious. They have an on-site restaurant and the food is 5 stars. Never had even a mediocre meal the whole time we were there. Everything on the menu is delicious, especially the burger.

The property is amazing with howler monkeys, Tucans, and lots of hummingbirds. It has the look of Chaa Creek or Black Rock lodge without the long drive on gravel roads and a much better value. The river runs through the property and they have a spring fed creek that has crystal clear water.

Absolutely loved it. Looking forward to coming back

We had the opportunity to spend eight wonderful evenings at the rustic Warrie Head Resort. The host and hostess ensured that our stay there would be memorable and that we would be eager to return. From the clean and very comfortable air conditioned , guest rooms to the delicious meals that we enjoyed while being treated to the sights and sounds of the Great Outdoors!

On our way between Belize Airport and San Ignacio, we pulled in for a bite to eat. The gates and laneway were very welcoming.
The sprawling property is delightful. A number of historical artifacts can be seen that depict the history of the region's sugarcane can past.
Owned by Blaire and his wife Debbie, Canadians who have now made Belize home. They originally hale from Thunder Bay and with a Sudbury connection as well.
Lunch was served on the terrace. Delicious fresh-squeezed juices are a 'must-have'. The food served was well-priced and very tasty. Red Snapper or a delicious hamburger are two of the many offerings on the menu.
Afterwards, we walked around the property and though this is indeed a place we would return to one day. A large variety of birds can be found here, as well as Howler Monkeys and a number of iguanas.
We highly recommend Warrie Head to stay as a hub for exploring the region or also a large family gathering as well.
At the very least, do stop in for a wonderful lunch.

My daughter is a research biologist from a U.S. university. She and another person from her university were in Belize for 10 days working. My daughter has two years old son that she was able to bring with her and she brought me to take care of him.

Warrie Head Resort was centrally located for them to be a few hours to many places they did their work.

We stayed in the cottage for six nights and Blaire and Debbie made us so welcome, we felt like family. My two year old grandson, Isaac, fell in love with Debbie and always wanted to know where she was.

We ate many of our meals at the restaurant there and were so pleased with menu and the superb chef made food. The freshly prepared Caesar Salad dressing was hands down the best we had ever had!

The 600 plus acres are amazing. It is a tropical paradise.

We will be back next year and definitely will be staying with our new ‘Belize Family.’

Thank you and blessings to you, Blaire and Debbie

We were warmly welcomed and looked after. We felt our hosts genuine hospitality extended to making us feel like family.
They have excellent local knowledge of sites, attractions, dining. Blair is passionate about the natural world and ensures we had the best experience. There are toucan hummingbirds and howler monkeys to be seen. A large river runs below the property and was perfect to cool off at the end of the day. Debbie provides delicious fresh home cooked dinner and breakfast. Warrie Head has clean simple accommodation based on an old mill camp. Air conditioning in rooms.
The location has excellent access to the best Belize has to offer. Bring your friends, bring your families.

Warrie Head Resort absolutely blew our minds.

Do you want to experience almost 700 acres of real jungle, tons of birds including toucans, howler monkeys, a pool to cool off in, a picturesque river, iguanas, tons of different fruit trees and more?

Do you ALSO want all the modern comforts like air conditioning, soft pillows, hot and cold running water, the convenience of an on premises restaurant, free wifi, a hammock, fun disc golf course, and more?

Then Warrie Head Resort is 100% the place for you.

Me, my wife, and two young boys instantly fell in love with the place. It helped that Debbie and Blair (the owners) are some of the nicest and most genuine people you'll ever meet. Debbie immedietly bonded with the boys and was acting like their Cool Aunt, while Blair was busy trying to tell us about all the different types of trees and how to listen for/find the toucans. 3 minutes later, we found the toucan flying from one tree to another.

The location is central to a ton of different exciting places. Waterfalls, caves, ruins, rivers, swimming spots, zip lining etc. Very easy to go have fun during the day, and then come back to "home base" for a relaxing evening.

Honestly and truly, Warrie Head was the standout accomodation of our trip. We plan on staying in touch with Debbie and Blair and will absolutely be visiting them again next time we come to Belize.

This is such a special little place. We ended up here by happenstance for lunch and met new friends. Blair and Debbie go out of their way to make the experience special. They have an outstanding menu and their personalities are so kind. They even gave us a tour of the entire property and told us about the local area. Above and beyond service included connecting us with a fabulous tour guide for San Pedro, and he took us on an outstanding snorkelling tour that was one for the memory. Thank you so much for everything. We highly recommend this location for both accommodation and food!

We enjoyed our 1 night here. We had the bungalow by the pool — and by the trees with the howler monkeys! They were fun to watch, and owner Debbie was nice enough to knock on our door to let me know they were there. The hotel and restaurant are conveniently located off the highway but are still quiet and peaceful. The restaurant food was good and Amy, our server, was amazing. We walked around the beautiful grounds and saw the river and horses. (Missed the big toucans, though.) If you’re looking for a no frills stay in a great location, this is it.

Warrie Head Resort is an outdoor paradise experience. As soon as you travel down the winding entrance you notice stunning palms and greenery. The grounds at the resort are lush with tropical flowers. The outdoor dining is so friendly with delicious food very well prepared. The pinnacle of your experience is meeting the owners, which will happen at your arrival. They greet you with warmth that lasted through out our stay. This couple is truly committed to their guest. The history and education of the area you receive is given with Blair and Debbie’s strong passion for Warrie Head Resort and Belize. Cheryle Grisham

Our stay at Warrie Head Resort was incredible! We enjoyed it so much we cancelled our stay in San Pedro to have longer at Warrie Head. They have the gift of hospitality and you feel it the moment you step foot there. Comfortable rooms, amazing food, friendly staff, and beautiful outdoor spaces. If you are wanting to relax, spending time at the resort will allow you to do that. If you are wanting to explore the country, Warrie Head is centrally located so it’s easy to get to any of the amazing opportunities Belize has to offer. And if you’re not sure what to do, just ask Debbie and she’ll make a couple of phone calls and find a perfect day trip for you. When you visit another country and you find a place where you truly feel at home, you’ve hit the jackpot. Warrie Head Resort is that jackpot!
