Located so near the JR station. There are many restaurants , cafes and convenient shops nearby. The setup is just like the setup in Sanco Inn Shinkansen Annex, Nagoya. Even the password for the free , fast wifi is the same. The facilities are adequate and a great relief to travelers. There is hair dryer, pyjamas, electric jug, multiple charger for mobile apparatus, an air purifier, a fridge, good body and hair shampoo, a bath tub, trouser pressing instrument. One can get free comb, toothbrushes, shavers, shower caps, hair bands, packets of lotion, leg relaxation pad. One can also get extra pillows at the Amenities bar. There is also a public bath where one can use, great , almost like an onsen.
There are not that many (western type) hotels downtown Iseshi. I choose the Sanco-Inn for the simple reason that they were approachable via an email address. For one or the other reason this is not always the case in Japan where they provide only a phone number or FAX number. This is not very efficient for foreign travellers. Especially FAX is not at all used and or available in most European countries. The hotel was very close to the JR station, just a stone throw away, and very efficient and pleasant. Check in at the second floor where you could also pick up a lot of the amenities. The room was fine however for breakfast you had to pay additionally.
We were here for one night. Checking in was a bit difficult due to language reasons, but we managed it eventually. The room was small, actually too small for two people and luguage. The breakfast was really good, a good choice of different dishes. Apart from the too small room it was actually a good stay.
Sanco inn has a nice location as there is railway station, convenient shop and restaurants nearby. You can walk 5 minutes to all the above facilities. I think this is a new hotel as its lights are bright and the interior design is fashionable. I appreciate it has a spa for guest but I was to tired to experience. Also, there is a small “bar” near lobby for the guest taking the consumptions like lotion, toothbrush, combs, base on the guest own needs. One of the reason is it is near the spa. And also, I think it can reduce waste as not everyone need the consumptions. The staff are nice. I can communicate with them in English easily. The tourist information is clear too. The room is clean and comfortable. The multi-hub for different electronic devices surprises me! This is a very caring arrangement!…
We stayed only a night, used it for visiting the ise jingu. The deluxe double room is consider ‘big’ among business hotel. Good breakfast provided. A public bath was available in hotel. There were parking at the premise, I think it was 1000yen/day. Hotel is conveniently located near to ise jingu geku. Near the hotel there’s a seafood shop (鈴木水産)do try out the ise lobster and abalone. Very good stay for visiting ise.
My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights with breakfast buffet. Across from JR Ise station, lobby on 2nd floor, you can select from a 'pillow bar', with 5 firmness options, also small amenities bar with toothbrushes, lotions, etc. next to elevator. Key tap required in elevator to take you up to your floor (nice added security). Decent size room (we had 2 twin beds), fridge, tea kettle, flat screen tv. Nice bathroom amenities. Public bath on 2nd floor which daughter used and enjoyed. Breakfast buffet was very good, with a wide variety of both western and Japanese items to choose from. Easy 10 minute walk to Ise Geku (outer) shrine, and tourist buses stop at the station. Be sure to get bus passes at tourist office inside train station, they're a great bargain at $8 per day
As I had already stayed i another Sanco Inn, some of it´s specialties (amenity bar at reception, no lounge...) did not come as a surprise but I really like this no frills hotel close to the Ise JR and Kintetsu station. The room was clean and spacious enough, the bathroom very good and containing, shampoo, conditioner, body soap and face soap, only if you want some more extras like sponges or body lotion you have to go to the amenity bar close to reception and pick it up there.
A very short walk so it is very convenient. Check-in is on the 2nd floor. Very nice hotel with great friendly, helpful staff. Basic amenities such as hand soap, razors (he- she(pink)), combs etc. They also have a colored pillow amenity rack. Elevators require the use of the electronic card which selects the floor for your room automatically. Rooms are not as crowded as the older business inns. A humidifier was in the room. Large flat-screen TV mounted on wall and nice counter space for working on computers. 6:30 a.m. healthy Japanese breakfast buffet requires a coupon. It also has a "YU" or hot spring public bath with separate areas for men and women.
I stayed at this brand-new hotel with my friend to visit Ise Grand Shrine. It takes 10 - 15 min to Geku. The facilities are very modern. The coffee/breakfast room provides limited capacity but we were satisficed with the buffet. The guestroom is tiny but functional. The hotel is run in an efficient way. Highly recommendable for short stay visitors.
Did not expect such a tiny room, even for a tiny person like myself. For the price my friend and I paid, we had expected more space than that. We could not even open our suitcases at the same time. Amenities were provided for your taking at lobby floor. Buffet breakfast was charged at 800 yen, a bit more than we usually paid but cheaper than the other shop we found serving breakfast at 1200 yen. In short, revisit of this hotel is not going to happen.
