We are currently staying in this beautiful and wonderful hotel. We walked from the bus stop and is about 10 mins away. Check in is smooth and they greeted us by name when we step in the hotel. The whole hotel is laid with tatami and wooden floor, hence no shoes allowed. Silly us stepped a foot with shows on onto the wooden floor at lobby. So Sorry ... Room is spacious and a lady will show us the various sections of the hotel, restaurant, onsen, vending machine etc. After which she shows us the room and makes some hot tea for us. There are two public baths and two private baths available. No reservation needed for the private bath, you use it when it is vacant. Relaxing bath before the sumptuous dinner. It is a multi course Japanese dinner served in private room. Sashimi, lobster, fried puffer fish and oyster are served. It ends with sweet apple jelly, persimmon, chestnut ice cream and creme brulee. The same lady explains to us dish by dish. And she is so kind to check how are we going back tomorrow and inform us of the shuttle bus service. While we are having our dinner, the staff prepares our bed for the night. The hardware and software (warmth service) makes this hotel stands out. Highly recommended!!!

It was all the way tentative service and warm smiles from how we were pick up at the station. Room, hot spring, and dinner were all beautifully arranged. The location is the best plus, as it’s right in front of the futamiokitama shrine, and we were lucky enough to watch the amazing sunset and sunrise with 1mins walk from the hotel. What do you ask for more?

A friend and I traveled to see the Marriage Rocks and could not have picked a nicer place to stay. This is absolutely the closest place near the Marriage Rocks - about 3 minutes. The room was lovely and the service was outstanding. We could not contact them prior, but a friend had a food allergy to seafood and they were so accommodating and went out of their way to serve us a wonderful dinner. The young woman who took us to the room and served us our meals was charming and did everything to make 2 awkward non-asian tourists feel at home. Limited English, but they still managed to communicate wonderfully. Also, they let us know about a road closure and got us on an alternative route.

Oishiya was a great surprise -terrific food, friendly staff and a great view. We stayed for two nights in an ocean view room (212). We arrived by train and it was an easy walk from the train station to the ryokan. Hoshiyama-san looked after us and ensured that we had a special stay. Mr. Masuda was very helpful in planning our outings. The first night we had a kaiseki dinner in our room. Delicious. The next day, after breakfast in our room and a morning soak in the onsen, one of the hotel staff members took us to the bus stop so we could visit Naiku (the Shinto Inner Shrine). When we returned, it was an easy walk back to Oishiya. Meotoiwa (the wedded rocks) are a short walk down the promenade from the ryokan. For our second dinner, we ate in the dining room. Another terrific meal - tabletop BBQ. We slept very well on the tatami mats. We could have easily stayed a few more nights. Thanks to all of the Oishiya staff!

We stayed in Oishiya for two nights and it is a wonderful experience. The location is so close to the key scenario and it took us only 5 minutes to see the sunrise. All staff is very friendly and helpful. The meals are also delicious!

Very stylish and modern Ryokan. Owners were friendly and you get a lot of personalised attention from staff. Two minutes walk to the famous rocks with the rope. Nice walks along the seafront and convenient for visiting the Ise temples. As for the seafood dinner: you must really be into seafood. Then it’s a treat. We were not that into all the squid and raw oysters and even more of that at breakfast. Just a bit too exotic and bizarre food for my liking. Also a bit cruel to be putting a live lobster on the grill in front of you (optional).

I had a fantastic one-night stay here recently. There were several things I appreciated about this ryokan: that it offers special rates for single women travellers, that there are private baths available for those who are not quite ready for group baths, that dinner and breakfast and served in the rooms, that the rates are reasonable for such a nice ryokan, etc. But the best thing about my stay here was the warmth of the inn staff--especially the young woman who prepared my room and served my food, Ota-san, and also the owner/manager, Mr. Masuda, who speaks English. They made me feel so welcome. I had a beautiful room overlooking the ocean, with immaculate tatami mats. It was so peaceful there. I will never forget my time at Oishiya and would like to go back. It really is the customer service--the human touch--that makes all the difference. Thank you again, Masuda-san and Ota-san!

Oishiya was a wonderful ryokan. They provide a pick-up service from Futaminoura station, and it was a good thing as the ryokan is really quite a distance away and there were limited taxis available just outside the station. We called the ryokan from a phone box just outside Ise-Shi station to tell them which train we were taking to Futaminoura station. When we arrived at Futaminoura station, their driver was already waiting for us at the exit. The ryokan is located just next to the beach, and a stones-throw away from the famous wedded rocks. The view at Sunset is beautiful! When we arrived they ushered us to sit on the sofa while they processed our check-in. An attendant was assigned to us to show us to our room and explain the facilities. The staff might not be that fluent in English but how she did a good job in conveying information. She also carries around a translation device that translate whatever is spoken to it into written english/japanese. The room was spacious, clean, airy, with a sea view. I was actually surprised at how spacious it was. For those wanting to look at sunrise, they thoughtfully provided info on weather forecast and what time the sun rises the next morning on a printout in the bedroom. The ryokan has public baths, and 2 smaller ones that could be used privately at no charge and no time limit. We had a good soak at the private baths. Dinner was grilled seafood. There were so much food and so many courses that we were stuffed! My mom couldn't even finish hers. The staff in this ryokan is top-notched. They're so friendly, warm, helpful, and still maintain that politeness that characterizes service in Japan. I would definitely stay here again if I ever have the chance.

Went in June 2016 and the 2 of us were absolutely shocked to discover we were the only tourists there. Went in at 9 pm as we drove from Kyoto but they waited patiently and prepared us our lavish dinner. Book this only if you are looking at having a good seafood dinner. The waitress was a Chinese and we had such wonderful service and conversation! She was simply amazing. The hotel is just walking distance to the Meotoiwa. However if you are looking for a good onsen, this might not be the hotel, and might want to look towards those in Toba.
