The hotel room is a bit smaller than the usual hotel room in other countries but comfortable. This is my first time seeing hotel providing different shampoo and conditioner in the hall lobby, which makes me think that the hotel manager or the owner is attentive. The hotel staff is also very friendly. We enjoy our stay here(≧∇≦)

Great onsen on the roof, rooms are fine, location is good if you have a car.
The view from the onsen is very nice.
I enjoyed the relaxing hot-spring on the roof, especially at night. I was the only person there.
Rooms are nothing special, but it was fine.

The building is old, but well cleaned. The onsen (hot spring) on the top floor was very nice. Great view of the city.
It takes 30 min to walk to the hotel from Ujiyamada station. 10min by taxi (about 700yen). No free shuttle service available.

No convenience stores around the hotel. There is a Chinese restaurant and drink and ice cream vending machines in the hotel complex.

We stayed in this hotel for Mt. Asama hiking. Since the hotel was far away from the station, we store our bags in the coin locker in Ujiyamada station. (There are plenty of lockers in Ujiyamada station.)

The service was bad and it was dirty. I understand that the building is old, but I think they should improve the cleaning and service. What surprised me was that the toilet seat had feces on it and it was dry. There was also obvious damage hidden with duct tape, and the bay window area next to the bed was covered in dust, so I wiped it down as soon as I entered the room. I thought about asking for a different room, but I was tired and all the rooms were the same, so I gave up. I will never come again.

I went to see the Jingu Rose Garden. Ominato Beach is also a rare sight.
It's fun to look at both the Jingu side (south) and the sea side (north) of the hotel. On this day, I happened to have an ocean-facing room on the seventh floor. What's more, it was a full moon.
I woke up while it was still dark.
The previous day's moonrise had been spectacular, so I kept glancing at it, when a silhouette appeared slightly to the north, far beyond the sea as dawn began to break. Ah, it's Mt. Fuji.
The shadow gradually became paler, and disappeared with the sunrise.

Apparently, for about a week around the summer solstice, Mt. Fuji can be seen through the Meoto Iwa Shimenawa rope from Okitama Shrine in Futamigaura, and a book has been published about it.
The Ise Meoto Iwadate hotel, part of the same hotel chain, may have more information.
