The room was surprisingly large, with a nice tatami floor and a beautiful view. Our room was right on the beach, and we could hear the waves crashing on the rocks, which made it really easy to get to sleep. There's no elevator, but the man at the front desk carried my bag up the three flights of stairs to get to our room. The sento was very nice, but as it was our first experience with it, we don't know if it is standard or not. If you want to be alone in the bath, around 6pm is best as they are serving dinner. It is only a five minute walk from Meoto Iwa, but is about fifteen minutes from Futaminoura station, which has no escalator,elevator, or ramp, so big luggage or wheelchairs will be a chore. Also the town has very few restaurants, but the ryokan does serve dinner if you reserve it a day in advance.…
