The atmosphere among guests were awesome especially we were having dinner and sake around Irori fire place. I regretted having booked only one night. Staff were accommodative and very knowledgable about Kamakura. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who seek authentic and pleasant budget hostel in the area. I'm Japanese but I don't see such "Japanese" style house recently.

I stayed one night and after that I knew I had to come back. So I did a week later! This place is amazing. The staff are super friendly and awesome. It's a small traditional home in a peaceful part of town. Great to escape the city landscape and chaos. A short bike ride to all the local sights and...

I stayed with my mum for one night before visiting Kamakura. The place is well kept in a traditional Japanese house. Although minimal, the guesthouse is very clean and the fire corner is a cozy must. The three host girls are fantastic, and ready to help. I left some belongings and they very efficiently manage to deliver them to my...

Yume and the rest of the staff where very welcoming to us. The place is very clean and cozy. It was out first experience with a traditional style hostel and it was perfect. The sleeping mats really are good and people in the bedroom are quiet and respectful. The staff goes a long way to really make you feel at...

This is definitely one of the best hostels I've ever had the pleasure of staying at! The staff is very courteous, friendly and talkative. The hostel is clean, compact and traditionally Japanese! The hostel has bikes, which we used and definitely recommend - it's an easy way to explore all of the beauty Kamakura has to offer.

If you manage your expectations you'll find that the Kamakura Guesthouse is great place to stay. Well located near all the great temple and sights in Kamakura. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a traditional Japanese style house with shared rooms and common areas. Recommended.

The staff is so helpful and nice, everything was clean. The guesthouse is like your own house, it's so cosy and feels like coming home after a day strolling the nature and beaches at Kamakura. There are so many things to do in Kamakura,...

Really enjoyed my one night staying at the kamakura guesthouse. The staff were helpful and spoke good English. Liked meeting Sana and Hee and chatting with them. I left my bags before checkin and Sana gave me the rundown about what to do. The location is suburban, very residential, not a lot of restaurants nearby but it's right by a...
