This lakeside resort is about a 3-hour drive from Tokyo and judging by the outside and the lobby, this hotel is old, very very old. Despite that, the room we stayed in was clean and the buffet offerings for breakfast and dinner were of amazing variety. But what we were most impressed about was the services they offer for families...

It is a resort. They have a great buffet, lots of food, varieties of it, and lots of desserts. Their food ranges from Asian food, to steak and french fries, The room is very big, very clean, and the traditional bath robes that they provided are very nice, you can even wear them to the dining room

Hotel is located at lake Shiragawa, very old hotel and still use key for room doors! Old pictures line up the corridor on the way to onsen was a bit eerie coz they were all black and white and that shows how old the hotel is...😰 The buffet dinner was fantastic! Lots of crabs to eat! Plus other varieties like...

We took a shuttle bus from Tokyo offered by the hotel. The shuttle bus arrived the hotel an hour late. Also there was not enough snow so we could not ski in the ski resort at the hotel. There was only one English speaking staff. I had to wait for a long time to be served and told me how...

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights to ski and celebrate my husband birthday. Unfortunately, the shirakaba ski resort haven't opened yet during the time we visited (22-24 Dec) due to the unexpectedly hot winter time in 40 years. Very little snow in the resort. As a result, we had to take the hotel shuttle (10 mins ride) to...

We chose the Nagomi deluxe room as it's spacious, new and very clean with good facilities ... however, as the hotel complex is huge ... it's a very, very long walk to the baths - nearly 10-12 minutes. The baths are quite hot ... and the new rotenburo (outside bath) is much better. The inside baths are big but, as...

We booked this hotel as there is an amusement park just in front of the hotel. The room, with twin bed and tatami, was not great, and the bed quality was really poor. Bathroom is, as often in Japanese hotel of this standard, really small. Overall a refurbishment would be welcome. In our rate a dinner buffet and breakfast was...

The hotel's peak season is in the winter time. Lots of ski resorts near by. We were there in late summer and perhaps that could explain why it seemed like half the hotel it could have been. We were traveling with 3 young children. And the place accommodated children with a playroom and a couple arcades which was nice. But...

“Choose the Nagomi deluxe room ... it's spacious, new and clean. The floors are warm. It is a blend of good western beds and Japanese tatami mats ... but, it's far from the lobby and baths. If you're into teddy bears - the 2 Teddy bear rooms might be a big hit with the kids.”
