This B&B feels more like a private home than a commercial establishment. Moina is a lovely, gracious host. The room was spacious and clean, and guests are welcome to use the public rooms downstairs. The breakfasts are lovingly prepared and Moina offers excellent tips on local sight-seeing. I loved the quiet, residential neighborhood. It was an easy 5-minute walk to...

I hate to leave a less-than-stellar review for this property, as the hosts are very friendly and clearly care very much for their guests and property. We do appreciate all they did for us! The location is just fine - you can take a free shuttle from the waterfront to the metro stop, and then walk the rest of the...

Beautiful inn located near Old Town Alexandria. We stayed for 2 nights recently in the Queen's room...a large, very clean, comfortable, beautiful room with a view of the gorgeous backyard. This inn is much more spacious than appears from the outside. Moina is a very gracious host who was so enjoyable and interesting to talk too. Her home is very...

A wonderful bed and breakfast that has love written all over it. Moina and Lee could not have been more attentive to our every need. The house dates back almost 100 years but has all of the modern conveniences of today.

We spent one night in the Queen room which is the only one of five rooms with a private bath. The others share a bath between two rooms. It is a lovely, comfortable and spacious room with a walk in robe and a very well appointed bathroom. Everything is spotlessly clean and Moina and Lee have made every effort to...

Since we were driving, I did not want to stay directly in Old Town and pay for parking (generally about $30/day). This is why we chose this place and it was a great choice. As the other reviewers noted, you do not have to have a car as it is walking distance from the Metro, but we were able to...

I spent four nights here in late July. Couldn't have asked for better. Had five very tasty (and filling) hot breakfasts, ranging from eggs and bacon to biscuits and gravy, with all the orange juice I could drink. Moina, the mom half of this mom-daughter establishment, provided all of it. I slept great all four nights. Part of that probably...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Moina and Lee, they made us feel very comfortable in their home and in their city. The room was lovely and spacious (the queen's room) and the breakfasts were very tasty. The King Street Metro stop is an easy walk and there is on street parking so you can leave your car and take...

The Treasure House is wonderful! We spent a full week in the Prince room and found the accomadations to be very comfortable. The room was small but adequate. The small flat screen TV is attached to broadcast channels. Our room and the adjacent guest room are on the lower level and they do share the small bathroom sandwiched between rooms....

Alexandria's Treasure House Category: Bed & Breakfast Prior to touring "Old Town" Alexandria, VA and Washington DC, my wife and I wanted to book a B & B that was close to the METRO and Old Town. Alexandria's Treasure House B & B met all of our requirements and then some! With only three guest bedrooms, this Inn was the...
