I had a wonderful stay at this Bed & Breakfast. The proprietor, Cindy, was very welcoming and hospitable. And the breakfasts were delicious - especially the cinnamon apple stuffed french toast! In addition, Cindy honored the State Government lodging rate, since I was traveling for work. I will definitely consider staying here again.

My husband and I celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary here. We were greeted with a hug and big smile from the owner Cindy, a beautiful fire and delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies. The decor is beautifully done with charm throughout the house that used to be her Grandfather's. We loved that she made us feel like we were at home!...

We stayed at Black's Fort Inn in late November to ride the Creeper Trail and explore Abingdon. The owner, Cindy, is hospitable and very kind, and she is a wonderful cook. The breakfasts (pumpkin pancakes one day, homemade frittata and biscuits the next) were amazing. There is an excellent sitting area, and this is a working horse farm, with beautiful...

We stayed at Black's Fort during the first weekend in November 2016 because of the close proximity to the Virginia Creeper Trail. We were welcomed by Cindy, the owner, like we were long lost family members. She even allowed us to bring our bikes in through her living room to store them securely on the back deck. The home was...

One of the more comfortable and homelike b&bs we have stayed in. Cindy cannot do enough for you, her breakfasts are out of this world (you might skip lunch), cookies and such in the afternoon. My wife drinks decaf coffee so Cindy went the store and got a Keurig box of decaf. Yes, they have a Keurig machine. Our room...

Visting here was like visiting a favorite aunt who cooks all of your favorite foods. Cindy went well out of her way to accommodate our special diets, and we were so appreciative of that. Breakfast was plentiful, and we often only realized we were hungry around mid-afternoon. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. The rooms are close together and...

Had a wonderful time at this B&B. Did I mention how amazing the breakfast was? Homemade Biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs, and hashbrown casserole. YUM!! Cindy was so kind and gracious, and I loved our morning conversation with the other guests. A+++

Wonderful accommodations on working horse farm, right off the Virginia Creeper Trail. Lovely inn keeper will make you a breakfast that will keep you going through a long day of biking or hiking. Gorgeous views Fran back porch. Clean, comfortable rooms and plenty of privacy.

Found this great place in Abingdon as we decided kind of late to go for the whole weekend and everything was already booked at absurd prices. Cindy's B&B was a pleasant surprise! Pricing was reasonable and the hospitality outstanding. Breakfast was prepared with love according to our hostess, Cindy, with an outstanding menu and food. Our room & setting of...

We stayed with some friends for the "Battle of Bristol". The rooms were really spacious and comfy. The breakfasts were OUSTANDING! The Inn owner, Cindy, was very sweet and helpful too. Really nice setting also.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Black's Fort Inn is truly a very unique Bed & Breakfast. Our property looks as if we are out in the country but we are right in the middle of town situated on nine acres with sculpted hills, lots of trees and rolling hills. We are able to provide our guests with privacy as most of our Bed & Breakfast is designed for that purpose. Our pond is nearly an acre and has a waterfall where the water cascades down over the rocks makes the most soothing, relaxing sound, creating one of the most peaceful settings in the world. The outdoor balcony is very spacious and inviting overlooks our farm, pond and waterfall. The pond also serves as a habitat for several species of wild fowl and if you can relax long enough you can see the Canadian Geese fly in and land on the pond for their rest before leaving the next morning. Our outdoor balcony is very spacious and inviting. It overlooks our farm, pond and the lovely waterfall. We have a second porch that is equally spacious including a grape arbor that winds up at a cozy covered porch with the perfect view of our waterfall. Our guests tell us how peaceful and beautiful our property is.I love to cook for all of our guests and one of my most famous & favorite breakfast dishes requested is our "Cat Head" Biscuits & Gravy.Such wonderful memories are made here, and we make so many nice friends. All of the priceless memories we have of each of our guests make us so happy that we can share our beautiful place with our wonderful guests. ... more   less
