Took my college-aged son to Alta for a long weekend at the end of his spring break. We weren't looking for anything fancy, and when we booked the room with two twin beds our expectations were appropriately leveled. However, the quality of staff and food and beverage blew us away. This place is a fixture in Alta and has been... More

Love the un-pretentious friendly atmosphere, meeting and eating meals with new people every day; seeing some of the same people year after year like old friends. Love the way Peruvian arranges for 18' of new snow every time we visit!

A no-frills, no-glitz lodge for people who love to ski and who want to meet and talk with other skiers. Love this place--met really interesting people from all over the country, some of whom who showed us around the mountain, giving us tips about back country runs, etc. Fun times talking at dinner and in the hot tub. Delicious food... More

The staff was very accommodating. Food was fabulous and the service good. Transport to and from Snowbird was seamless and skiing Alta could not have been easier. The room was clean but a little short on storage and temperature control. That said we spent very little time in the room

You don't come here for the rooms, you come for the great atmosphere, great location, and great conversation with interesting people from all over the country that you sit with in the dining room. Best skier's lodge I've ever been to.

Great food, wonderful atmosphere. Outdoor pool and hot tubs were perfect after a day of skiing. Staff was friendly and helpful. When I go back to Alta, I will be looking forward to another stay at the Peruvian.

The Alta Peruvian is the perfect place to stay if you're looking for an amazing ski experience without all the "fluff". Clean rooms, clean beds, good food, and easy access to the mountain. Could not ask for more.

This is a solid low-frills hotel with great access to some of the best skiing in the U.S. The setting is gorgeous and the hotel offers a very warm heated pool and two large hot tubs with great views to relax in after a day of hard skiing. The rooms are nothing special, though they're just for sleeping. There are... More

The Peruvian is a great ski lodge for those that just want to ski, eat, sleep. Rooms are rudimentary but all you need to rest overnight between great days on the slopes. For me, it was a great friends weekend. I also enjoyed the community seating for meals. Definitely get to meet some very interesting people of all different backgrounds.

The Peruvian is a classic ski lodge. Old school charm, great meals, and excellent staff. It's a little tired, but excellent value for traveler who wants an unpretentious ski get away. Bar, pool, lobby, TV room are great hangout places to talk with other skiers. Every night was great social fun. Meals are in the dinning room and are very... More
