We are totally in love with Alta and GMD is the only place we can imagine staying. It is right near the Collins Lift, has delicious food, super comfy beds, the nicest staff you could ever imagine, and is truly a place for skiiers.

Fabulous location, good food, helpful and friendly staff. From check in to check out, everything was easy. Christmas eve buffet was a treat. Afternoon tea was substantial and perfect after a long ski day.

i have been staying in the goldminer's for the last 2 years ( 3 times in total) and it never proved me wrong. Being right at the bottom of the main chairlift Collins, it has a truly unbeatable location. Like most other hotels in Alta, dinner and breakfast is included in the price which definitely makes it very convenient since...

We just spent the weekend at the Goldminer's Daughter in a large slope facing suite. We were traveling with our two teenage boys and we had plenty of room (+ two bathrooms!). The rooms have been beautifully refreshed and the lobby reimagined with tasteful mid-century decor and accents - -much of it authentic. Of course the big draw at Alta...

I stayed that the GMD twice this season... and Alta being my favorite place on earth since 1991 its hard not to love everything that is 'Alta'... GMD - great hotel staff, Roni at the Bar is awesome and so is Sarah (although she has to warm up to you - smile Sarah!). GHD is all about location... its ground...

I've stayed at Goldminer's many times and have never been disappointed. Their customer service is top notch, and they are 50 steps from the Collins chairlift. The Food is good, and if you are by yourself, you can eat dinner at the Community Table, where it's fun to meet others. It's kind of rustic, but in a good way, as...

My Fiancée and I spent four nights at Goldminer's recently. The refreshed room as a real upgrade. The staff is friendly and eager to please, The Deep Powder House ski shop directly off the lobby, though small, is well equipped with a knowledgeable staff.. The food is adequate but not great and I recommend they bring back the omelet station...

I heard this was like an upscale Y, and it is somewhat, but also perfect because of it. YOu can't get any closer to the main Alta lifts. The food is amazing - breakfast buffet with a la carte options, GMD bar, dinner with specials INCLUDED in the rate. In terms of value it was pretty amazing. I went on...

Grab a great breakfast and set your dinner plans. Both included in your room rate. Literally put your boots on in your room, take the elevator down to your locker to grab your skis and within a few minutes, you'll be at the Collins lift. Ski all day, but definitely take a lunch break and grab a pizza from the...

First time here after hearing so much about GMD from others. Was everything we hoped for and more. Very clean, warm. and comfortable. My only complaint would be the lighting in the bathroom and the fan that does not shut off. But really, not that big a deal. Enjoyed the restaurant and all of the employees were extremely friendly. It...
