The Snowpine is an unusual, delightful hotel located near the Albion base. It's completely ski-in, ski-out with all the amenities (heated boot lockers, outdoor hot tub, ski storage, etc.). But what makes it so appealing is the ambience of the place. Apparently, the property started as a mine shaft that was converted into a lodge by the Civilian Conservation Corps... More

Our family of four (parents + 2 teens) loved everything about the Snowpine Lodge. The location and ski-in/out aspects are brilliant, the service is personal and outstanding and the hot breakfasts and four-course dinners exceptional. Given the lodge's small size, the hot tub, ski storage, boot storage and gear storage areas were never crowded. Heated boot storage and your own... More

Excellent ski lodge for families. The staff is wonderful, helpful, friendly and casual. Great food, and great place to spend time as a family: play games after dinner, ski together, meals together. I also recommend the Snowpine as a starting point for a backcountry ski trip with Utah Mountain Adventures!

We haven't stayed at the lodge but if you can get a reservation for the dining room, by all means do. It's a wonderful atmosphere. The food is EXCELLENT and it us reasonably priced. No bar but there are some nice lounges and drink service if you have to wait a bit for your table. The staff are courteous, friendly,... More

Traveling across country, enroute Alaska, we'd been staying with friends and camping and decided the best way to experience Alta was to stay up in the canyon. Snowpine was the perfect way to treat ourselves. Slope-side accommodations were extremely comfortable and very tasteful, but still casual. It was one of the best ski lodge experiences I've had throughout my travels... More

During our annual ski trip to Alta this year, I opted to spend my last night in the women's dorm at the Snowpine lodge. What a hidden gem I discovered. From the first moment I arrived, the lodge felt like home. Warmly greeted by incredibly friendly and attentive staff, I enjoyed yummy treats and good strong coffee after a long... More

We LOVED Snowpine Lodge and cannot wait to return. Having stayed in many ski in and ski out places, this one TRULY is just that. Your boots are warmed in a cabinet about 5 feet from the place you will put on your skis and head conveniently down to the lifts. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms small but clean... More

This accommodation will not disappoint! Spent three night at Snowpine in mid March. I'm terrible for making last minute bookings but they had room for me. It probably wouldn't have been my first choice based on other hotel/lodges websites but it'll be my choice for any future visits to snowbird/alta. So they may have some improvements to make in marketing... More

I stayed at the Snowpine lodge for three nights in February with my dad, I loved it. We stayed in a twin room on the main floor, The room was clean and this was maintained through out our stay, always before we came back from skiing. Dinners were delicious - a four course meal with a lovely selection of wines.... More

My wife and I, and adult son stayed for 5 days over the holidays in December 2014 and had a great time. Friendly and helpful staff, meals were great (earlier dinner times had more timely service), very comfortable common areas, and friendly guests. We have stayed at 3 other lodges on the mountain at Alta and this is the friendliest... More
