This hotel is really special and unique, a little like Austin itself. We had a Junior Suite which had a huge balcony overlooking 6th street. The room was quirky, spacious and very comfortable. As well as the amazing marble adorned lobby, and sumptuous bar the bakery/restaurant was fantastic, as was its staff and particularly manager Mitch who typifies the warmth...

This is a wonderful property on so many levels that it is hard to list them all, but I will try: historic property saved from the wrecking ball, wonderful structure that is sate & nationally recognized, rich history in past guests, beautiful interior--stately, nice art and sculpture in the public areas, great executive chef, well maintained rooms and public areas,...

Enjoyed a 4 night vacation at The Driskill this past week. The room was large and comfortable. The bedroom was spacious with a separate desk/sitting area by the window and second sink. The construction work makes parking confusing. There was no answer to room service calls. My bags were taken to the wrong room. $40 bucks to use valet. $18 bucks for a movie. I cannot imagine staying here again.

The Driskill is our favorite hotel when we visit Austin. We're partial to historic hotels, and the Driskill doesn't disappoint with its old world flair. The lobby is gorgeous, and offers a great place to meet friends and organize your day. The lounge & bar is likewise iconic, with live music on the weekends, top-notch drinks, and a vibrant atmosphere...

I recently stayed at The Driskill for a business meeting but also had time to enjoy a little bit of the city. From check-in to check-out their service was amazing. So friendly and helpful! Their meeting team and food service team did a wonderful job for our meeting during the day. Conveniently, the hotel is located in a wonderful location...

Being from Austin and living nearby, I had never stayed at the Driskill. I am a Texas history buff and knew the Driskill was rife with stories, history and "hauntings". I brought my wife of 35 years and hardly ever left the building, which is, by itself, captivating. We will be back...

The Driskill hotel is rich in history and charm, with a central location suited for exploring the best of what Austin has to offer. Keep in mind the hotel is near "dirty 6th" so you may encounter rowdy crows on Thursdays, Friday and Saturday evenings. However, don't let that discourage you from stay here - you cannot hear the commotion...

A classy elegant hotel rich with sights. Rooms very nice with high ceilings and great beds and blessings. Super fun bar and gracious lobby. Be sure and walk the halls and see the extensive art collection toon and antiques. Wide hallways and nooks on the bookshelf to peruse.
