I loved the decoration, grey with a cozy touch. The bar was open till 11 and very friendly to try new mixes and requests. Would had loved to have the breakfast included and don't really like than valet (charged $25 extra) is the only parking option.

The hotel is very close to university of Texas and off the beaten path. The hotel staff was incredible! Great customer service! Just very helpful and nice to talk with. It was a beautiful historic hotel with all the amenities.

We were there for one night a few days before NYE. From arrival with the Valet, a smooth checkin, cocktails on the verandah, a large and comfortable room, a yummy breakfast to our departure it was all great. Thanks to the Valet team for sorting out my nephew on a loan bicycle and for dropping us off in town in...

We heard about Hotel Ella after reading a travel promotion for the One Night app. We booked same day and received a discounted rate during the holidays. The hotel is a renovated historic home located near the UT campus and the state capitol. Service was absolutely stellar, and we were sorry we had such a short stay that we didn't...

Definitely "quaint" and "boutique". Fortunately was able to stay 2 nights in the mansion in one of the nicely remodeled original bedrooms. The furniture is not period or antique though. All the Staff are friendly and helpful. The happy hour was great with 1/2 priced drinks. I got charged a dollar on top of my Scotch for "Rocks" ... didnt...

Great hotel, great architecture. The hotel resembles an old Southern mansion and is near downtown Austin and UT campus. The bed was comfy, and the room was stylish. The hotel has a bar, with great service and appetizers. Can't wait to stay again.

We stayed here for our anniversary weekend. Ziggy at the valet desk was charming and very attentive. Noaln was spot on with his recommendations for local restaurants. We were nicely upgraded when I told the front desk we were celebrating our anniversary. All the other staff were very courteous and friendly. Eventhough the weather was chilly, everything about the hotel...

we used the complimentary car service and had Nolan as our driver. We did not have to wait for this service and it was very convenient! On top of that, Nolan was extremely pleasant and provided us with awesome suggestions for our first trip to Austin!

although slightly confused - there is a degree of motel-ness to part of the place - the overall impression is quaint, cozy and the main house is certainly a step back in time. Great staff, excellent bar tender and cozy rooms - although I would avoid the back motelish section. Location and price and style add up to a win!

We love staying in 'boutique' or historic hotels if given that option. Hotel Ella certainly fits that description. First, the good... we were in town for a sporting event at the aquatics center, so the relative proximity to campus was a plus as we like to walk. The property was lovely and the valet and front desk staff, friendly and...
