Appreciated the cleanliness and attention to detail. Truly felt like a VIP with the personalized treatment. Having free parking was also key. Very cute “trendy” decor and vibe. Nice sitting area outside our room. Coffee shop just 1 building away.

This was by far the best experience I've ever had at a hotel! From the reservation and check in process, to the attentive but never intrusive staff, to the beautiful hotel itself. We stayed here to celebrate my wife's birthday and the accommodations were perfect. The hotel has beautiful design and decor that is warm and comfortable while also being modern and stylish. It is perfectly upscale Austin without being at all pretentious. The hotel and room is extremely clean and well thought out. All the fixtures and furniture feel luxurious and cozy at the same time. The location is in the heart of the cool part of Austin with an excellent selection of restaurants and bars within walking distance. We stayed in the King Patio which was surprisingly quiet. Even though we were

Several months ago we had planned a trip around a concert we had tix for in Austin. The Heywood Hotel was recommended by a friend who had never stayed there, but had seen it. I looked it up and liked what I saw so we reserved one of the rooms. There are seven in the hotel. A very cool period Craftsman home converted to a small hotel. A few days before the trip I was texted a link to list and choose ‘preferences’ for the room, i.e., coffee, tea, accompaniments, number of towels, etc. We’ve stayed at some impressive hotels before, but never received the level of service and care we had at the Heywood. I’d give 10 stars if I could Upon arrival our room was impeccably clean, and all requested amenities were there, even a bottle of champagne on ice for our anniversary - I

We enjoyed a weekend at the Heywood in Austin and had the best sleep during our 2-week work trip in Texas. The beds are very comfortable, and the room's design is very stylish. We arrived late but still had a warm welcome, with many fantastic recommendations to eat and drink. Despite the heatwave, we followed them all and had a great Saturday evening in East Austin. We appreciated dinner at Licha's Cantina and drinks at the Whitehorse. Don't hesitate to follow Heywood's advice when you stay there.

I planned a surprise weekend for my husband's 65th birthday and chose the Heywood based on other reviewers. I was expecting a nice stay but our experience surpassed our expectations! About 6 months prior to our stay, I contacted the hotel and Maris, Elizabeth and all staff members genuinely shared my excitement about the surprise for my husband (I was flying in our children from different states). From that point on, the fun began...Maris was so wonderful by sending me suggestions for meals and then making all reservations for us. There was not a detail missed. Elizabeth was so warm, engaging and helpful when we arrived and we felt like we were in a second home. I cannot recommend the Heywood highly enough. I would just say "book it quickly" before you don't have the chance to

Great boutique hotel. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Very knowledgeable hotel staff who seemed genuinely interested in making sure we had everything we needed and knew all of the great restaurants to try. Good neighborhood with a coffee shop a couple of doors down and breakfast and good, local bars on the same street. We had a great time.

My husband and I spent two nights at this lovely boutique hotel one weekend in April 2022. The property is beautiful and meticulous with a lot of attention to detail. It would’ve been a lovely stay even if that were all. But then there was Maris who welcomed us when we arrived and throughput our stay offered recommendations about anything that we asked about, from restaurants and bars to sightseeing and walks, to understanding Austin unique culture and arts. We had a memorable and fun weekend eating great local Mexican food and barbecue, biking along the river to South Congress (Haywood has bikes for guests’ use!), going to a honky tonk bar, all thanks to Maris’ gracious hospitality. We really enjoyed being in East Austin too, there is a lot to see and do and it does not feel

We recently stayed at the Heywood Hotel for 24 hours while road-tripping through Texas and the experience was outstanding! First and foremost, the customer service was exceptional. Shawn was AMAZING. She went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great time in Austin. She provided us with spot-on recommendations for exploring the city on the hotel-provided bikes (an incredible amenity!) and even text us a link to make dinner reservations. Thank you, Shawn! The Heywood Hotel is conveniently located near a ton of excellent coffee shops, breweries, and restaurants in East Austin - a perfect spot from which to explore the city. Overall, we had an excellent experience and highly recommend!

After two long years of virtual meetings and living on travel memories, I finally had a work meeting in Dallas in March 2022. My partner came along, so after the meeting wrapped we rented a car for a quick road trip to Austin. We arrived Sunday afternoon and left Tuesday morning, so very quick. We are both in our 60s but we live young--at least, that's what we tell ourselves :) The Heywood has a perfect MCM vibe: Acapulco chairs around the fire pit. Retro hanging wicker chairs on the front porch. Lime-and-grey patio palette. Totally cute, and that fun hipster vibe alone would have made our stay memorable. But it's the personal touches that make the Heywood Hotel really stand out. About an hour after making the online reservation and indicating I had a feather allergy, I

Heywood provided a perfect stay during a weekend visit to Austin. Hotel is in East Austin, a quickly gentrifying area that has a Brooklyn feel. Hotel is stylish with a pleasing mid-century modern aesthetic. We stayed in king room 6. Bathroom was bright and spacious. Room has a private seating area in addition to access to a larger outdoor common area. Walking distance to food trucks - Granny's Tacos and Freewheelin' Coffee. Staff was warm and friendly. We had a few requests and staff made sure we had items in room waiting for us when we arrived. One of the bummers of covid travel is not having maid service at hotels, but hotel was able to arrange a mid stay room tidy, which was greatly appreciated. The hotel is near a church that runs a soup kitchen and a few blocks
