Hi - I'm coming to DC for just a few days this weekend and wondering how to catch ferry from Georgetown over or if there is another method of public transport that works better. Being Easter weekend, I'm assuming could be packed - do we need tickets just to walk the grounds? Or only for tours? Thank you for any advice on transportation as staying downtown near White House with no car.

Hello - Catch a ferry form Georgetown to where? There are boat cruises you can take/book, but there is no need for a shuttle to/from Georgetown. There is the metro, the Circulator bus ($1 bus that takes you to different points in the city). Georgetown is an open (free) area with streets of shops and restaurants. It's not an isolated place that requires admission. Just use Uber or a cab to get around. If you're lucky, the Circulator will ride in the direction you want to go.
