Summary: We stayed here as a business group (about 15 people total) in support of a large project. Overall the hotel was good in most aspects. A few issues that we had were with the large group of high school football players that were staying there and the noise, regardless of how many times we called the front desk (multiple colleagues). Some other will be mentioned below.

Room: I had booked a standard King, but requested an upgrade when I arrived at the front desk and was put into a King Junior Suite. The room was pretty standard as HGI rooms go. The bed was okay in terms of comfort. What was nice was the extra space with the couch which I used when I was in the room to do some work. Two TVs in this room as well and the couch will fold out into a double bed. Bathroom was fine with the upgraded larger shower rather than the tub/shower combination, which I think all hotels should have.

Restaurant/bar: HGI keeps the same menu across it's brand so it's very easy to know what you are going to get when you order. Food quality was as expected and we ate a bunch of meals there. There were some problems at breakfast when the large group was there as the kitchen would get tied up with cooking for them and sometimes the made to order breakfasts would not be available or slow to come out. Understandable, but just an issue when trying to get out early to get to the office. The bar had a happy hour from 4-7PM each night with beer, wine and well liquor specials. We took advantage of this multiple times and the bartender during the week, Tamara was great.

Ammenities: Due to the weather and our trip, we did not get to use many of the fitness areas (pool, gym, etc.). As a Diamond member, the premium WiFi is one thing that I do take advantage of when staying, but found it to be slow and unresponsive at times when working, or even just unable to connect. This is the first time I've had this problem and I have a hot spot that I would use to get some critical stuff done when I couldn't get on the WiFi.

Staff: All of the staff was great. We had some issues with some of our team's reservations at check-in but they were able to resolve pretty quickly and get everyone accommodated. Wait staff in the restaurant and bar were great as well. One of the highlights of this hotel if you ask me.

Overall, for the location to our office and the price, we will stay here again. Hopefully they'll get the WiFi fixed/working better for our next stay.

Front desk personnel seemed a little shy but very helpful. The beds were definitely NOT like home--a little too firm! Facility looks great overall but our bath floor had cracked tile and missing grout and very evident that housekeeping had nicked all corners with their vacuuming. Carpet looked clean but after one night walking in our white stocking feet, the stockings were brown on the bottom. One of the trash containers had not been emptied (not much in it but a soda can and some

The hotel appears very clean and we loved all the natural light in the entry way and breakfast area.

As a diamond member, we were disappointed with our stay on Jan 15, 2022 and will not be coming back to this facility.
The mattress in our room smelled like sweat and pee!! We had to call the front desk to request for another room. This is very disturbing that your staff do not check your mattresses carefully and clean rooms with the highest quality of hygiene.
The second room we moved to, the bed was extremely creaky! Every turn and move, it made such big noises.
Apparently, your bed furniture was coming apart at the corners causing the crackly and creaking noises.
Your manager/owner really needs to upgrade your mattresses for hygiene purposes and replace your bed furnitures.

Initially, I was unhappy with my hotel choice. I was not thrilled with a first floor room. The room seemed small with dark carpet and furniture. Window faced the freeway and 6 Flags. The pool was small and did not look inviting like the pictures.

However, the hotel grew on me as the days went on. We came to the area on a sports trip - Blue Jays series against the Rangers as well as the Cowboys vs Buccs game. The hotel is in a great location for the sports venues and Texas Live! restaurant and bar area. It had a complimentary trolley to and from the ball games (leaving an hour and a half before games) and a well organized system after games to bring you back. There was also a private shuttle service for the Cowboys game, $16 return per person that worked well, offering any drop off time between 3:30 and 6 for a 7:00 pm game. Pick up continued for an hour and half after the game.

Staff was friendly enough, manned the front 24/7 and provided good information. Lobby area was nice. We used the snack shop several times after getting home late. Also appreciated the covered front entrance that provided shade while waiting for Uber/Lyft/taxi rides. Enjoyed a couple of meals at the Saltgrass Steakhouse next door.

The room started to feel not too bad as well. Being on the first floor came in handy several times when needing to run back to the room for something or being at the shuttle on time and not worrying about the elevator. We did not really hear traffic noise. The shower was nice and plug ins in the lamp next to bedside are always a plus.

We did go to the pool one afternoon. The pool gets a fair amount of shade due to it’s location. Not a big enough area for lounge chairs. Only have 3. Only in small sunny area. This was not a problem for us as we were the only people at the pool that day. Bottom of pool could be cleaned better and there were leaves in the pool, though it was windy. Salt water pool that was cool and refreshing and loved the fact that it got fairly deep for a hotel pool at 5 feet at the deepest area. It
worked well for a couple of hours.

In the end, it turned into a pretty good 4 night stay.

Nice hotel for the most part. They don’t clean the rooms during your stay so you have to call for anything you need. Set your garbage in the hall. Breakfast is not included. Tv remote didn’t work well. Alarm clock was set 45 minutes slow and knob to change it was broken. $7 for drinks in the store shop. Hotel did have sanitizer stations all over the lobby but most were empty.

First appearance when walking through the front doors to check in told me this was definitely the right choice for our stay! We were immediately greeted with very cheerful and helpful staff which made the check in process quick and easy.

Our room was on the fourth floor so we walked into a bright, fresh and clean room with a beautiful view of sunny sky. It was an immediate feeling of ease and comfort after a 3 hour drive. The two queen beds were ultra plush with crisp fresh sheets. No complaints at all with the room!

A major “must mention” while staying here is the breakfast and staff downstairs! The tables, self serve line and eating areas were clean and had a feel of calm which added to the ambiance. The food was hot and delicious and with so many options you just can’t go wrong. We had the made to order pancakes, a three egg omelette and also the hot self serve options. It was a satisfying and filling start to our day and we looked forward to the mornings during our stay. Marshall and his team were energetic, fun, helpful, thoughtful and just an all around pleasure to be in the company of. They certainly know how to make the guests feel comfortable and happy!! I highly recommend interacting with them any chance you get!

Overall we were here for four nights and now have somewhere to call home when we are in Arlington! Well done and kudos!

I stay here several times a year on business and it’s my preferred hotel when traveling to the area. The hotel is clean and everyone is so friendly and customer focused! In particular, Sam, the waiter at breakfast and Tammy the bartender. I asked for cinnamon once at breakfast for my oatmeal and on subsequent days, I didn’t even have to ask, Sam brought it! Tammy, behind the bar, is AWESOME! This trip I was here a whole work week and Tammy gave menu recommendations and her humor was outstanding, keeping my colleague and I laughing and smiling, like she’s one of our girlfriends! We adore her! I’ll be back (again!) for sure!

It's on either the green or blue line for the trolley. The hotel should have complimentary passes to give you, that's what we got from them. Otherwise I don't think it's expensive to ride it. Have fun! Hope this helps!
