What a wonderful experience! It was like staying with a good friend, we will never stay anywhere else in Amarillo. The room was beautiful, clean, fully stocked and the breakfast was to die for! Comfy bed, nice rooms, everything we thought a B&B should be!

We stopped here for a night on our way to Taos and loved it. The house is perfectly located in a safe neighborhood and close to a few great restaurants. The bed was great and we had everything we needed for the night. Sweet Pam recommended CRUSH WINE BAR- a nearby restaurant and a must if you are in Amarillo....

My wife and I, and I by myself on several occasions, have stayed with Bonnie Rodriguez at La Casita. For many years, driving through Amarillo on the way to New Mexico, we had to stay in one of the now ubiquitous hotels along highway I-40, which offered the usual stuff you get from one of those places--a decent bed, a...

If you like B&Bs and are in Amarillo then La Casita Del Sol is an absolute must! Four of us on a two generation "Sister's Trip" had one night in town and this is where we spent it. House is gorgeous, Bonnie is both delightful & accommodating, breakfast is amazing, the biscuits are the best we've ever had and the...

This restored 1920s adobe is a treat. Decorated with beautiful art, whimsy, cheerful color, and lots of southwest flair, there were many things to capture our interest. We stayed 2 days in the Enchantada Suite which was very spacious with a comfy bed, and private bath ( original cast iron tub), and lovely sitting area. Bonnie is a very gracious...

Stayed at the La Casita July 17th and 18th, 2014. Amarillo has an abundance of hotels but La Casita is a Bed and Breakfast. The owner/host (Bonnie) was very knowledgeable about the Panhandle of Texas and everything local about Amarillo. The choice of restaurants in the downtown area were excellent and only eight blocks walking distance from the B&B. Her...

From the street it doesn't look like much but once inside you'll probably be amazed. This is a lovingly restored hacienda run by a wonderful hostess who knows the history and details of Amarillo like the back of her hand. Breakfast and the conversations that went with it were marvellous. Found the room to be comfortable, with a TV and...

And then there is the hostess Bonnie..such a multi-talented lady! I wish we could have spent a week with her In her home. The frosting on the cake...

Unique house, lovingly restored with handsome, colorful guest rooms and a charming hostess. We were welcomed with the aroma of home cooking which we realized is a constant at La Casita, if not banana bread or biscuits, then Bonnie's own chili verde sauce. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast the next morning was outstanding. Highly recommend!

This was our first time to Amarillo and to La Casita Del Sol. We arrrived late and had to leave early to explore Palo Duro Canyon, the quarter horse hall of fome and the art museum. Our stay was restful, pleasant and interesting. Bonnie our host happened to be busy that week-end, however, she managed to put a healthy breakfast...
