One of the nicest places for the money that I have ever stayed. Absolutely beautiful place. Incredibly social and friendly staff. Has lotso of classic charm, along with some modern amenities like direct tv, fridge, microwave, and cofee maker. Walking distance to everything. Say hi to the ghosts.

Honestly, I don't know if we stayed here during a down time or what. We arrived during the late night, had to wake up some caretaker, ended up in the lobby for what felt like hours, and became subject to a lot of drunk, rowdy, CMT reality show style honky tonk wedding debauchery. When we finally got to our room...it...

Hello Zach and Shea, I would like to take the time to thank you for writing your review, but I find myself puzzled. We have over 200 television channels, do not have a caretaker, and though our bathrooms are a bit small being a historic hotel, they all offer standard size tub/shower combinations or larger. Though we love to host...

Quaint, historical hotel. Not the most modern, but lots of neat things like an outdoor patio with a fireplace and plenty of nooks to hang out in. They have a bar and restaurant onsite. The hotel was quiet, except for Valentine's night when drunk patrons arrived home. I never heard the train out front at night. Ear plugs are provided....

This is an older hotel, that has been restored to be a beautiful property. The lobby is very nice, decorated with period furniture. Rooms are large, and well appointed. Be prepared to listen to trains as they pass about a block from the hotel at all hours. The breakfast was very limited. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We will stay...

My daughter and I stayed at the hotel. Best was comfy, service was great, absolutely LOVED our dinner at the hotel. Our dinner was a fantastic gourmet excursion. I had quail and my daughter had venison. Both perfectly prepared and the cheese & meat board appetizer fantastic! I was having trouble getting through to a horse back riding ranch and...

Great old hotel, with a perfect location, fabulous staff, and a healthy continental breakfast. The lobby is beautifully restored. As for the rooms, as in many old hotels, the walls are thin and the bathrooms small. The rooms facing Holland Street get some train noise. If you want a quieter room, spring for one of the bigger rooms on the...

They try, they advertise - the best hotel between El Paso and San Antonio. They have nice gimmicks that remind you of an upscale hotel (Elemis cosmetics - are you kidding me?). Unfortunately, as in many aspiring places, it all collapses. Regular rooms are small and claustrophobic (minor problem, it is what it is, cannot reconfigure an old hotel at...
