Detailed Reviews
I stay at this hotel every other week for business. The staff is very professional and is always helpful. During COVID-19 they have diligently kept the strict policies to ensure guest safety. This is pretty standard considering it's a Marriott property and not my focus for this review.
On this last visit, I must point out one exceptional employee...Marisa. When I check in she always greets me by name and asks if there is anything else that I need. This last visit, she said "I noticed you are staying for 6 nights, I took extra towels to your room so that you would have enough to last for the whole time you are here."
I was amazed at the level of empowerment and initiative demonstrated by this little act. Marisa obviously did not need to do that; however, in doing so went way beyond my expectations to really delight her customer!
My company does consulting and training for other organizations on how to deliver service excellence to delight customers. I am always so appreciative when I see others doing this as it is the little things that go the extra mile for the customer. Like here, it didn't cost Marriott or Marisa a penny to put extra towels in my room, but anticipating the customers needs AND acting is what truly separates mediocrity from greatness.
I can count on one hand the times when employees have been empowered enough by their company to truly delight their customer. This is one of those times and I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to be delighted.

+1
First let me acknowledge the staff who provided us with excellent customer service: Marisa, Ashley, Yvette, and Annabelle. These ladies are to be commended as they went the extra mile with smiles on their faces to make sure that we were ok.
This is an excellent location, close to the highway, close to good restaurants, the mall, etc. We didn't have a car so we utilized the shuttle to take us to the mall (free). We stayed too long at the mall to have the shuttle come back but the Uber ride back to the hotel was less than $10.00.
The front desk staff had great food and things to do suggestions. Initially, our TV wasn't working however within 5 minutes of my calling to inform the front desk someone was there to fix it.
This has to be one of the only hotels I've stayed that offer a free hot breakfast that's actually good and has choices (even veggie sausage).
The amenities: the work out room was sufficient, there was no one using it the whole time I was there. I will say that you need to be aware the pool area is extremely small. Because of the location of the hotel, I wasn't expecting much so I wasn't disappointed with what I saw.
the hotel is within walking distance to some great restaurants and the Addison Comedy Club.
Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant right beside the hotel, however, I hear the food is good and they have a live band.
Overall would I stay here again, absolutely.
Thanks again to the staff, continue to great customer service that you provided!!!

Clock time is wrong in rooms (we checked three different ones) and guy they sent up didn't know how to fix. It takes a screwdriver to pop off the back cover to correct the time. Manager's solutions was to just remove all of the nightstand clocks from the rooms. Dirty towel left in kitchen area. No storage under bathroom sink and little counter space. Water takes forever to get warm in shower. Low water stream in bathroom sink. The latch on the door didn't lock, at one point, and no maintenance man on site. We had to wait to leave until they could fix it. When we first arrived, we couldn't get out of the room! You had to really push hard with all of your strength to open the door. With all of the hotel rooms available in this general vicinity, I will look for another hotel next time.

My visit was bad for the one day stay. We arrived and dropped bags off in room and immediately departed for dinner. When we return from dinner the elevators wasn't working, and we also noticed the smell and how the furniture had pet hair on it. I immediately went to customer service and ask to be place in another room. I was told that the hotel was full and that I couldn't change rooms. I then ask if someone could come clean the room and they sent housekeeping up and the lady just used a lint brush to remove some of the hair off the furniture. I knew then that the staff didn't show no interest in resolving the real issue, filth and odor. When I decided to lay down on the bed i noticed that one of the pillow cases had blood spots on it proving once again the room is dirty. Nervous about showering because i wasn't quite sure the towels were cleaned. Low and behold they smell like they were mildewed. Of course those towels couldn't be used. The next day for breakfast bar was empty and i can only assume that once they set the bar up the 1st time there is no restocking fresh food. Normally, I don't complain about services, but for a Marriott hotel, this kind of service is not acceptable.
1. Room on 3rd floor, no elevator
2. Room smelled
3. Furniture with pet hair
4. Blood on pillow case
5. Towels with a smell
6. Breakfast bar not replenished
7. Staff didn't care

Hotel is in a convenient spot, although so close to NDT it is loud. Carpets are in need of a cleaning.
Room, good size and well laid out.
Detractors:
1. Work area chair is a sad excuse for something to sit on and work on computer.
2. Pillowcase soiled, a huge turnoff.
3. Staff at front desk invented a "new corporate" policy that strawberries are not available for breakfast on weekends, only M-F.
As Marriott gold member this was an incredible insult to my intelligence.
4. ONE washing machine (and dryer) for about 160 rooms. You figure your odds.
5. NIghtly parking fee when the other Marriott across street has no such charge.
6. Towel rack in bathroom is placed so close to shower control, that the sharp end put a nice notch in my head when reaching down to turn on the water. Bad location!
Grade: D- or 2. Corporate properties should not be the laggards.
I have stayed at 5 Springhill hotels already in one month for 28 days. I think I know mediocrity when I see it.

I've stayed at this hotel for years, multiple times a year, and was always a fan. It has really gone downhill of late. The elevators are falling apart, but inexplicably the property elected to renovate the front desk area and foyer (which were entirely fine as they were) rather than upgrade or maintain any other part of the hotel. I stayed for 5 days and was out of my room before 10am every day, but the room was not serviced by the maids even once during my stay. The breakfast was inedible: waterlogged egg solution, soggy bacon, and hockey puck turkey sausage. A single waffle iron had a ten-person deep line leading to it. To top it all they now charge $10 a day for parking. In North Dallas. Seriously. This is my last visit to this once well-run establishment. I will be staying at the new Home 2 suites down the street the next time I'm in town.

Rooms are a nice size but need updating. Phone did not work. Had to go to front desk to request clean towels and washcloths, which still had not arrived 7 hours later. They only clean the rooms every other day and I was told since we were only staying 2 days the room would not be cleaned, which means you will not get extra washcloths or coffee even though they only supply the room with enough for one day.

Stayed on a Fri/Sat and initially the mobile app didn't work for check in or room key, the key worked after I obtained keys. The rooms were fairly quiet. The big problem was the temperature of the room, the air was on, but we had no control of it and we ended up getting a fan from a local store and that made it acceptable. Not only was our room too hat, it was hot in the elevators and in the hallways, except for the 1st floor which was cool. See picture of thermometer in the hallway by our room which was taken at about 7:00 pm, at 05:00 in the morning it was the same temp.

Had several errands accomplished and fine dining take out that I was looking forward to enjoying when I headed up tired to my room. Upon entry, the bed was not made as though housekeeping had not gotten to it yet. Bedding was piled on the couch. Had to return to front desk and get assigned another room. Ate, slept, and awoke to prepare for my 9am appointment and there was no water pressure nor hot water. Spoke with front desk and was offered to be switched to another room, for the 3rd time… no thank you. When you splurge a bit and pay for time away, if the experience is faulty due to an issue with the establishment, they should resolve things to your satisfaction. To get the attitude that you are the one making too much of your inconvenience adds insult to injury. That all being said, the staff, though not solicitous, were professional and pleasant, and the hotel, though a bit dated, is comfortable.
