I've been coming to this hotel for three years. I visit Dallas often, and I've always been pleased with my stay here. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and you can't beat the water pressure. I usually have a room on the higher floors, and enjoy beautiful sunrise or sunset sky. I feel that I receive a good value, and the staff has always been helpful. The only reason I'm not giving five bubbles is because some details need to be updated in the rooms. The corners of the carpet may look fatigued, or a cosmetic detail may need fixing. I still feel very comfortable, and always enjoy a very quiet stay, even on Saturday nights or when the hotel is full. The area is very walkable with lots of restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping.

This is a last minute trip for me and Joesin has made my check in and getting settled in my room a dream.

Check in was easy and quick. I mentioned to Joesin that I needed non feather pillows for my room and she searched the whole hotel to get them for me. She was So thoughtful and so thorough to take care of my request. She delivered the pillows to my room in 2 separate trips. I managed to not have a pen with me to do some work a d made my way to the front desk to get one and she sanitized two pens for me and told me that I only needed to call and she would bring them up to me next time.

I’ve spent the past 5 years working for luxury hotel properties and her kindness and willingness to go above and beyond for a guest is a huge asset to this property.

It is a lovely, well maintained property but service like hers makes it special.

We chose this hotel so we could be near Kaboomtown - if it wasn’t for the front desk agent, Marius, who checked us in and was really awesome - I would be upset. Our room wasn’t clean, there was no microwave, the toilet made running noises all night so we had to turn the water off and there was no coffee in the lobby or someone to buy it from. The night auditor was not helpful at all. I’m not usually critical since I work in hotels, but this stay just wasn’t good. Big kudos to Marius for being awesome though.

3 of us spent more than 140 dollars a night for a room, tidy, clean and functional but logistically not functional: the sink outside the bathroom with the carpet on the floor is not only not functional due to the floor but also due to the fact that it is in communication with the beds, how do you wash yourself without waking up the others?

All the costs of the bar/shop are prohibitive, half a liter of water costs almost 5 dollars.
Breakfast is not self service but Starbucks and obviously not included in the price.
On the other hand, the girls who run it are very nice and helpful.

The same cannot be said of the majority of those who welcomed us at the reception, only 2 out of 7 helped us with the following problem:
the tap water had a very high dose of chlorine, so much so that on the first day, not knowing it, I mistakenly ingested a whole glass, feeling unwell in the following days and (assuming it was a problem in the area and not in the hotel) as I was saying only 2 people gave us the opportunity to have a free bottle of water each, the minimum... also because the air in the room is very dry because it is often controlled by the air conditioner.

The walls are very thin, so much so that one day we were woken up by 3 people arguing at 5 in the morning, in another room.

The hotel was horrible, rooms spelled like mold, the pop corn ceiling gave a way the poor job of trying to update the room. Reception hotel staff were not hospitable and frankly we’re not professional at all. The cleanliness of the entire hotel was sad.
Paid $530 + random $50
Charge that I can’t seem to get the hotel to explain what that is for 2 nights, outrageous for what they are providing.
Do not stay here if you want to get experience with competent employees that care about their job or their facilities they are I trusted with.

I stayed this past weekend for two nights. The first room appeared clean and the bed was comfortable. However, the water in the shower never got hot. I let it run for 15 minutes and it did not heat up. To check and see if it was a problem with the knob, I put the knob to "cold" (perhaps maybe it was accidentally switched). The water got much colder, so I knew for a fact the water was not heating properly. I checked the temperature of the sink and the water heated up right away. The next morning I told the gentleman at the front desk. He was very helpful and got us a nicer room on the first floor. This room also appeared clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower temperature was accurate. However, Sunday morning we saw what was undoubtedly a cockroach crawling across the floor. This disgusted us and was more than the last straw. Furthermore, neither room's key card worked on the exterior entrances so we would always have to go through the front door, regardless of the location of our room. There was no iron in the closet (I am certain if I called the front desk one would be brought to the room in no time but I should not have to call for something so simple in the first place). The staff was very friendly and I am sure would do anything to make my stay more pleasant. Regardless, there is no excuse for improper pest control ESPECIALLY A COCKROACH. If it weren't for the staff this would be a 1 star review. I have stayed at Courtyard Marriotts before, but I can confidently say I will NEVER stay at one again.

I have stayed at many Courtyard Hotels but this one is the worse. The receptionist staff is rude, uninformed and very unprofessional to say the least. During a stay on 09-30-2022, the front desk receptionist would not acknowledge my elite status and upgrade my room as requested. I was told that there were not anymore upgraded rooms available but after checking online there were still five available. They used profane language that was inappropriate and not suitable for the type of business Courtyard is known for. I will never visit or stay at another Courtyard if I have to experience this. The owners should hold them accountable for their disrespect and unprofessional ethics.

9/10/22: We stayed here for the first time to spend the day at Addison. The property was easy to get to and there was plenty of parking. Ashley greeted me at the front desk. She was very friendly and personable. She was able to upgrade our room (Gold Elite). She was very thorough while she explained the benefits of the property, the (paid) breakfast, and best entry points to our room. She made a great first impression! Our room was clean and the common areas looked great. The property was centrally located to the areas we were exploring. We will definitely be back!

We searched for Marriott hotels in Addison and chose this one because the website said it was newly renovated! We loved the location but the only things that looked renovated were probably the carpet and lobby. The elevator looked like it's from the 60's, with a mechanical bell that dings when stopping. Nevertheless, the room was large and comfortable, except for the old bathtub shower. The power outlet for the coffee maker was bad, and I had to move the machine to the other side to plug into a working one. There was just a Starbucks counter in the lobby, no restaurants, but since there are so many good places to eat within walking distance that's not a problem.
