In general a nice new hotel Check in - great Pool Covid restrictions - silly in today’s current environment. Only 1 household allowed in the pool with 45 min increments. After a 7 hour drive our boys were looking forward to a nice swim and to our surprise and disappoint we couldn’t even use the pool because of the hotels own pool rules…. Fitness center - ridiculous by 2021 standards Staff was very courteous For next trip , keep on Driving and don’t stay here

This location seems to be using covid as an excuse for poor service. The exercise room's a/c was inop and the phone didn't work (to call the front desk). My wife mentioned this to the desk clerk and he said 'it looks like you survived'. They are also still offering the 'grab-n-go' breakfast option only. Between the attitude and the reduced service, this place is a poor option.

Dear Bob, Thank you for giving us your feedback about your stay with us. A/C has been restored to the fitness room, and our breakfast is always a topic of conversation. Our breakfast is still offered in a grab-n-go style with many options, including those that are gluten-free. Even though your stay was not perfect, we hope you might consider us again to provide superior service in the future.

Stayed here on our way north traveling on I 5. You can see it from the freeway. Typical Holiday Inn Exp. Easy check-in. Clean room and comfortable. Simple COVID take away breakfast. I would stay here again. Walked to the Mexican restaurant next door for dinner.

I stayed at this hotel in July of this year with my mom and my son. We stayed one night and loved it. It was clean, well kept up, and the staff was super friendly. In fact, we were supposed to go down again in September and I booked this hotel again because I loved it so much, but the wildfires prevented us from going. Over the last weekend, because we had missed our trip in Septebmer, we decided to go to Ashland again for my birthday. My boyfriend booked the hotel this time without me knowing, and I was happily suprised when he told me where we were staying. He went and checked in when we got in late on Friday night. The notes said that he had requested a high level room, so they did give us that. The man that checked us in told him that unforutnatly the room just had a view of the freeway, my boyfriend said, that's fine. We would rather be looking at the freeway than having people above us being noisy. So we took the room. When we got up to the room (room 325), and I went over to look out, and much to my surprise, you couldn't even see the freeway, you couldn't see much, because almost the entirety of our window was blocked by the Holiday Inn sign. Seriously? What a terrible design! If you put your head against the glass, you could look right or left and some some of the hillsides, but other than that you are looking straight at a wall. How awful. It was late when we got there like I said and we were exhausted as we had just driven from Portland so we just went to bed. The next day we had to get up early to go sightseeing and when we got back to the hotel in the afternoon my boyfriend approached the staff at the front desk and told them about his displeasure of our "view" of even the freeway. We were told that they were sold out, and that if we had told them right away, they may have been able to move us rooms, but they couldn't do anything about it now. OK. Fast forward to a little later in the evening, the 2nd night of our stay. It is probably 30-35 degrees outside. We have been outside all day walking around, and I knew it was going to snow. Well, we were using our heater, and all of a sudden it just started blowing cold air. I called down to the front desk and the man who answered said he would come look at it. He tried to fix it with no avail and just offered us some blankets. So now, we were super annoyed, not only were we mislead about the view in the room, but now, when it's 30-35 degrees outside, our heater doesn't work, awesome. My boyfriend asked if the manager would be working the next morning, and he said he was the manager. So we told him what we were upset about, and he said he would be giving us a discount for our troubles. Again, he couldn't move us because they were "sold out" and housekeeping was gone for the day. The next morning when we checked out, we did look at the bill, and they took $40 off, which was nice, but still the entire experience I just felt like was lack luster. I still feel pretty annoyed about the misleading information about our view. I think that started the whole thing. If we had been given all the information, we would have chosen a different room to begin with, and maybe that room would have had a working heater? Who knows. I understand it's probably hard to get someone in that room (oh, it's also right next to the elevator, so we got to hear a lot of people come and go, some of who were very loud), but you should be upfront and honest about it. We will probably be back because aside from what I experienced this time, it is a very clean hotel with extremely comfortable beds. I just wish we had better customer service.
