This is a very old motel, it is clean, beds are comfortable, staff is cordial. No frills, there are notes posted all over the room on the walls,(a little strange) Convenient location skimpy on towels.

Was in Morehead City recently and needed a quick place to stay. The room was strictly designed for fishermen or fisherwomen. It was bare bones, no frills, fairly clean. The staff was friendly. I probably won't stay again because I like more creature comforts.
We were pleasantly pleased with the Sand Dollar. It was CLEAN and quiet. The shower tile was a blast from the past! Very short walk to beach access.... GREAT inexpensive find. Also recommended Crab Claw restaurant for dinner and the food and service were great.
