Stayed in the hostels twice in 2011 and 2012.booked again in 2013 but was told by the booking agent that the hostel has been closed (a day before my trip!!). The room is simple with private bathroom and aircon. The bathroom was okay, enough to satisfy your needs. The air con was slightly noisy and I have to use a...

150 PHP from Airport - in a white metered taxi. We only stayed here for 1 night, before our flight out of Manila. We had copied the travel directions from the internet and had no trouble finding the place. The front door is opposite a car parking area, to the left of Chowkings Chinese. This entrance was closed when we...

Wilson - the owner of this "hostel" is very kind on sms, but we never met him because he works at his other hostel. His staff at this "hostel" (rooms off a corridor with a common bathroom and no common room or kitchen) can't be bothered. We checked in at 19:00 on 24 Dec and immediately found cockroaches -- about...

No signage what-so-ever so incredibly difficult to find. We had to ask around multiple times in the neighborhood while children kept coming up asking for money. There's not even a sign on the door or building or anywhere, it's as if the owner doesn't want you to know where it is. So stupid. The lights were always off in the...

I stayed at Manila Bay Hostel with my daughter. Although we didn't get the private room we originally reserved by email, the dorm room was quite okay, clean, quiet, & the bathroom had hot shower. their staff were nice too, especially Rex. I liked the location too -near Rizal Park and the Manila Ocean Park. I would recommend it to...

I was traveling with a friend and we were both very dissatisfied with Manila Bay Hostel. We did not receive the room we booked, were offered a dirty dorm room instead of the private room we had reserved. Cockroaches in the bathroom and dorm rooms, felt security was low as well. As an avid traveler with much experience in hostels...

Manila Bay Hostel is surprisingly good due to best location across street from Manila Bay & Rizal Park, few minutes walk from historic Intramuros, right in the entertainment center of Ermita & Malate. Simple, nothing fancy, but safe, clean, good sleep. Most other places in Mania seem overpriced compared to this place.

I stayed only a night before leaving Philippines so I am not sure if the location is ideal (however is in the central areas suggested by lonely planet), extremely clean guesthouse (this is not an hostel, no common space, so it’s just for sleeping. Rooms are basic and can be rented for 12 or 24 hrs (perfect if you want...

This room is fine if you used it as we did. we arrived into Manilla from Singapore at 21.40 at night and then departed to Caticlan on the 10.00am flight the following morning. We had a bunk bed room, right next to reception. The aircon was noisy, but cool (most importantly) and the beds were relatively comfortable and clean. Tthe...

Spent 2 nights there in May 2010. Room included: a double bed, windows that didn't open or close, curtains, a plastic stool, and an air conditioner. No table / shelves / drawers / cupboards. Basically four walls and a bed. The service was okay. Bathrooms were very crumby and not too clean. Location was good, near Rizal park and Intramuros....
