If nothing else was available in Male, I would cancel my trip, rather than stay at this hotel again. Terrible service - the first 2 days of my stay, the room wasn't cleaned all day. The rooms are tired and asking for a refurbishment for years and the staff remains grumpy. The only great thing is the location, which is... More

Stayed at the Mookai for a night. Despite the small room (403), the place is ideal for a short stay in the main island. The staff at the reception were extremely helpful and courteous. It's just a hop, step and a jump from the getty and close to the Traders Hotel.

It is a good hotel for a short stay. Centrally located, very close to the boat taxi to the airport and less than a five minute walk to the Traders Hotel area. The rooms are clean, have ac, good bed and would be a good choice for a night or two. Do not pay for their breakfast as it is... More

We arrived at Male airport without having made prior arrangements for a place to stay. We were referred to a tour operator who suggested we stay one night in Male at the Mookai Hotel before heading out to the Islands. This hotel was within walking distance to Male City Centre and 15 minutes away from the airport by speedboat. Although... More

I do not usually stay at this place when in Maldives but due my usual place being full, I had the unfortunate choice of staying at Mookai. The room they gave me was terrible.. the windows opened up to a wall of the other building making it difficult to make out if it was 8am or 8pm. The room was... More

Although listed as a five star hotel, that is stretching the definition a bit but the Mookai does have a small rooftop pool and other amenities that put it in a three star business hotel class. There is no restaurant but there are many decent western, Chinese, Thai and Indian restaurants nearby so that is not a problem though of... More

One night in this hotel situated 100 meters far from the ferry station of Hulumale and Lulumale. It is not exactly the best as Hotel. In the room large enough, lack electrical outlets, the only available in bathroom that is small and obvious water stains in the ceiling and shower is unclean. The sheets are obvious signs of wear, but... More

An average business hotel it may be, but it has comfortable, clean rooms, excellent views and a small, but very refreshing swimming pool on a tropically luxuriant terrace. It is located right near the waterfront where most of the ferries leave from. Easily walkable from the airport ferry even with a suitcase. It is ideal for spending a night before... More

The best hotel to stay when you are in Male CIty, the capital of Republic of Maldives. The rooftop swimming pool and sauna bath is excellent and this hotel is overlooking the airport island where you will get a complete view of the sea and different islands. The rooms are very good and the amenities are also very nice .... More

We meant to go to Kuramathi Resort but due to a delay, we missed the last sea plane and got stranded in Male. Organised by KUONI, we were put in this hotel. Very disappointed considering we paid £300plus/day for the resort. The room was small and had cob webs hanging off the ceiling and curtains. The staff wasnt friendly at... More
