Average Hotel OK service. I came for a business trip where i stayed for around 14 nights. Cost wise , hotel is fine abd the service is also OK. But if you ask about maintenance, it is not that great. Mostly rooms near washrooms have leakage. Also, even though we stayed for 14 nights. Still they did not add sports channel even after multiple requests and that too during FIFA World Cup. So, little disappointing. Few good things about hotel location is that, it is very near to Rasfanu beach and near few good restaurants.

We unfortunately had to quarantine while in the Maldives. They put us in this hotel and it was AWFUL. The room smelled like mold and had Rats in the walls. The room was very dirty. It's supposed to be a quarantine hotel for covid positive or people in close contact with a covid positive. They let everyone mingle and had buffet style meals. The staff, including the owner, didn't wear masks. We were told meals would be brought up to our room but we had to argue with them every time to get the food delivered. We didn't want to eat buffet style and increase our chances of testing positive. The food was AWFUL. The owner said we could order anything off the menu and it was included in the price we were forced to pay. That was a lie. If it wasn't their buffet food they charged us for it. Every meal was a battle to get it delivered. The staff was incredibly rude. The Maldives government says unvaccinated travelers need to quarantine for 14 days, the hotel let them out after 4 days. They did a covid test that wasn't real.... then let us leave before we got the results. It was all a joke and a ripoff. Do everything you can to avoid this hotel. Way overpriced, dirty and rude. They obviously don't care about the safety of people.…

When you arrive at the hotel you almost imagine what you will find in the rooms but what we found exceeded our imagination. In the rooms there were not only 1 or 2 cockroaches, there were 20-25 of them. Not only this, which was about 02:00 am, a noise woke me up and thinking that something had fallen, I fell asleep again, but what was my surprise when I heard a kind of screeching and sideburns walking on the ceiling: RATS. The worst hotel I have spent ONE night in and I say one because we refuse to stay in it any longer. Above they wanted to charge us 100USD per night for this club. Worst worst worst hotel in Maldives Horrible ... never ever stay in this hotel. .. even for free.. This was our worst experience. There was no body to help. Rooms were dirty and smelling. Repeated menu will be served all the time They didn't came to clean room not for a single day, even didn't came to change towels & some basic requirements Always needs to ask for some basic stuff They have some idiotic system for hot water in bathroom, very bad hotel please avoid This Hotel is Presently assigned for quarantine facility for direct contact with covid detected persons They will put in room & will get treatment like criminal you will feel like you are in jail. Don't go to Maldives. even you don't have any symptoms of covid you will be quarantined for 14 days. Retesting not allowed, have to pay for 16days, have to pay for RT PCR test. they will charge whatever they like. We are so grateful to the team of The Beehive Hotel for making sure we had the most relaxing and smooth stay! A special thanks to Huway and the manager (Shareef/Boobu?) for ensuring all our expectations were met during our one week at the hotel. I appreciate the smooth and prompt reservation. Huway was super helpful and quick in the whole booking process and Mr Shareef was always at our service whenever we needed help.The pick up and drop off was super convenient as well despite our last minute requests. The vehicle was big and very convenient with a friendly and helpful driver who also made sure everything was in order and as easy as possible. The room we stayed in was on the 7th floor, with a vast city view from the balcony, incredibly spacious with a separate area for minibar and coffee, big bathroom and a super comfortable bed. The room had sofas that added extra comfort and luxury to the place and we loved every bit of it. Almost everyone at the hotel was very humble, friendly and respectful. They checked on us always to make sure if everything was going well. Our room boy prolly did leave a little sweet gesture on the bed as well during the stay! The Beehive states that it’s a 4-star hotel when it is actually a 2-star striving to upgrade. Best way to describe it is in reference to the note on car mirrors — that the view and what is actually happening on the road will be different. What from its self description is different from what you will actually experience — lots. Location: it is on the corner of a crammed street with narrow sidewalk (totally fine if you’re ready for that, as many streets on Malé are set-up this way). Room: Much smaller than described. MUCH SMALLER. And smelly. So bring your own disinfectants, oil diffuser or scented candle to get a fresh scent. Towels and sheets were clean but some had what seemed to be permanent stains. You may be frowned upon for asking for replacements but ask for what you want and need. Service: The staff are cheerful and accommodating... until you need something at a specific time like its free shuttle to the airport. Don’t get me wrong, as a seasoned traveler, I am clear that time is relative to various peoples; however, when it comes to transport to a flight, I had not had an issue with service being prompt until The Beehive. The owner was arguing about whether or not we needed to leave at the time with requested the morning of our departure (after we inquired and settled times with other staff twice before, once at check-in and once the day before). Food at Beehive Restaurant: It is the saving grace with flavorful, local food options you’d expect at a 2-star hotel. This is the best hotel in Male city. Look no further if you are searching for a beautiful hotel to stay in the city while exploring nearby Maldives islands or even just visiting the city for a few days. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable, with good wifi connection and all amenities provided. The location is an excellent base in Male city, close enough to the shops and great restaurants and coffee spots but also in a quieter area of Male. The hotel provides everything you need, all with exceptional service, a friendly atmosphere and most of all staff that go above and beyond expectations to ensure your stay is comfortable and memorable. If you want to arrange some excursions or trips to visit nearby resorts or local islands during your stay in Maldives, The Beehive can arrange everything for you!
