Guess the pandemic issue has really impacted even for such a 5-star rated hotel. A Club Premier experience is not as VIP as expected. Check-in was slower than normal rooms lanes, fridge was not working, 1 of downlight not working. Surprise decoration was ok though as my wife was extremely "surprised". Kudos to the room decorators. However, the sparkling juice would have brought the surprise to top level as my whole family would have enjoyed a toast! To sum up, hope that the level of hospitality for such highly competitive industry of hotelier could be upped the ante. By just having a vegetarian in house restaurant would not be good as not every patron is willing to go packed in the mall side just some decent meal.
Stayed in a Premier Room (room number B 25-21) on 13 November 2021. Checked-in was fast as many counters were open. When I requested for another room card and was told there was another card in the room power socket. Guess what? The room card could only be used to turn on the main power. So, how was I supposed to know which card could access the lift and room? Nonsense! Upon entering the room, I found out that: - no hand towel, body lotion, slippers, and bathrobes - safe deposit box could not be open, phone not working, and no hot shower - dead cockroach found on ceiling spotlight So, what is the difference compared to a budget hotel as you just provided shampoo, shower gel and bath towel? Nobody bothered to pick up the calls whenever I called the reception. So, I had to go down to the front desk to request for additional room amenities. The Chinese woman who assisted guests at the queue line was helpful and polite. Requested for 1 hour late check-out was told to pay RM20 per hour. Please ask your maintenance and housekeeping staffs to remove shoes when entering guest room. This is the only 5-star hotel I am aware that I need to bring my own room towel to the swimming pool. The vegetarian buffet breakfast was pathetic and slow refilled with 4 main choices i.e. fried noodles, plain nasi lemak, roti canai, and porridge. It was mission impossible to order eggs at the egg station as the queue was long and slow. Simply could not understand why they could not prepare scrambled eggs in advance. I regretted that I still have another non-refundable booking on 27 November 2021 as I have to endure the same horrendous service again!…
This is regarding my stay on 23/09/21 (Club Premier Room) I was really not happy with this stay. I was expecting a 5 star svc from this hotel but really I didn’t get it at All. I had a few issues for this stay, the most disappointing thing is that the Manager didn’t even call me once to check if everything is in order or not…. ???? Not Professional ! About the club privilege also its nothing much. I have many things to say, really…. But just dont feel like writing it here. The only best thing that i found in this hotel is the pool…. Check in & check out process were slow Waiting time for elevator average 30-40mins, especially in weekends. Allocated time in pool: 45 mins, 7am-7pm. Pool was quite huge hence can accommodate large amount of people. Kids pool available, 1ft & 2ft depth but no towel provided, must bring your own Parking rate RM10.50 Vegetarian breakfast could be better in terms of taste. Noodles were a bit too salty. Could've provided plain water, selection could be varied e.g soup, roti canai, pastries & salad Room was standard, no satellite tv provided. Limited tv channel Adjacent to berjaya shopping mall
It was a quick visit with busy schedule. Hotel is located in the middle of hub, short walk from the buzz of the city. Rooms are massive and clean. Friendly staff “Lee” who checked us in, is a star of this hotel. Breakfast room was very busy but it’s a big hotel so I was expecting that it will be busy and crowded. Lots of food to choose from and it was delicious. We also had dinner in the hotel which was good. Pool was not busy but we didn’t have enough time for swimming. We visited pre Covid pandemic.
