I loved this hotel.
Great location beautiful rooms. Just wish they had outlets by the bed for charging.
A gorgeous lobby, A state of the art gym, locker rooms with a Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room.
A great pool with an adult only section.
Pay the extra and get the Horizon club floor a choice of breakfast either at the club or the unbelievable Lemon Garden Cafe which has a buffet with everything from dim sum to sushi and in between!
Tea time and canapes and cocktails! Oh the club also has an adult only section, wish they had adult only floors!
Would highly recommend and return!

I have stayed here a few times and The Shangri-La never disappoints.
There may be new kids on the block hotels in Kuala Lumpur, but having experienced other properties in the city, the SL is now my first choice.
My latest stay was in a suite which was VERY spacious and included a small kitchen. Horizon Club access was also included.
When I stay here, I always tend to oversleep - that isn’t a criticism, but testament to the quality of sleep I always seem to enjoy at the SL.
As my stay was over the busy holiday period, the Horizon lounge was very busy, however, service was never compromised. The staff in the lounge were excellent despite the very demanding workload and they still managed to make contact with guests, find seats and clear tables. Food was good and kitchen staff ensured the supply was never depleted.
It would be unfair to pick out any member of the lounge staff for praise as they were all excellent, but the infectious smile and excellent service from Azizi and the assistance from Inia?? deserves a special mention.
One aspect of the hotel is something I wish other hotels would adopt is the ‘Adults Only’ area of the pool. We have done our travelling with the kids over the years so it was nice just to have a nice relaxing space away from the pool.
The location is excellent and there is easy access to the many transport options available and it is a very easy walk to the shopping area of Bukit Bintang, KL and Petronas Towers.
The Shangr-La is a great option for tourists or business travellers alike and factoring in the additional benefits of a Horizon Club room, the hotel represents great value as well.

Our second visit to the KL Shangri-La and just as enjoyable as our first visit 4 years ago. We particularly enjoy staying in the Horizon Club rooms and using the Horizon Club Lounge for breakfast and evening drinks and canapés. All the staff are very friendly and professional but special mention must go to Mr Azizi Latif.

We booked and stayed one night last weekend and it was awesome. Thanks to Ms Sherry, front office manager for a very smooth early check in. We felt safe over the covid19 pandemic because the hotel was practicing tight and cautious SOP. They provide hand sanitizer and alcohol based wet tissue in the room. The new normal breakfast experience was great and the food quality still well maintained.

Being a Malaysian we never planned to stay in a hotel in our own city but covid19 has changed every thing. After four months of lock down we decided to set ourselves free and decided to pamper ourselves. We found a super deal and booked ourselves at Shangri-la in KL. From the moment we stepped our foot inside the hotel we were treated like royals without titles, checkin was smooth, we were clearly explained by a very warm and hospitable reception staff Kai Chi. We booked a suite for ourselves which was one of the cleanest room I have ever seen, stocked with hand sanitizer, wipes, mask with compliments. We immediately felt safe and at ease !
Every corner of the hotel has hand sanitizers, all the staff wear mask, buffet restaurant and executive lounge is well managed even while busy to comply with social distancing. Health Club was spotless and machines were cleaned after each use. Covid related safety measures was the key for us to choose the hotel and my wife and I can confidently say Shangri-la is the safest place to enjoy the hospitality. Food at Lemon garden is legendary as we have been coming to this restaurant since born. Service is Outstanding !

Stayed in this hotel in month of August 2020 twice and both time the service provided was very good. Room is very clean and big. Housekeeping response time is very fast and requested items been send to room promptly. Anythings we need we can whatsapp them and the response time is fast. Breakfast suffice and they try their best to keep social distancing. Check in first time was very quick due to very less people but second times was there during the Merdeka holiday have to wait for while during check in due to the crowd. The waiting time for check in is reasonable. Requested a specific room number and it was given to even though at difference floor which really appreciate it. Overall a very good stay in this hotel and will surely be back very soon for another stay. Hope the service and cleanliness remain the same.

We stayed in Kuala Lumpur to celebrate New Years Eve. As we have never visited the city before we was unsure if the hotel would offer anything for the New Years celebrations.
Upon arrival at the hotel the service was fantastic. Some slight concussion at check in as to if our room was ready baring in mind it was 15:30 so it should of been however this was soon rectified.
For breakfast the hotel offered a wide range of options however I feel it offered too many options some of them just wasn’t to my taste.
This hotel is fairly central to shops bars and restaurants, for the twin towers and shopping mall it is approximately a 10/15 minute walk away.
If you plan to go up the towers do book it in advance we didn’t and couldn’t go up as it was fully booked.
The hotel did offer a New Years Eve party which we attended and it was absolutely fantastic!! The singer was great and the organisation into the party was great very well planned out.
We do travel a lot and this was our first visit to a Shangri La hotel we would definitely return to this hotel or book any Shangri La hotel.

The room we had was great and absolutely spotless,staff from front desk to housekeeping was friendly and really helpful. In room dining services was top notch and varieties of choice is unbelievable. The hotel have great facilities not just the gym and swimming pool, They also have good restaurants(Chinese,Japanese, French and Western). Breakfast is the best in Kl( second to non) and lastly what we like the most is "The Lounge" overlook a pond with tropical forrest background.We went twice during our stay during recent stay.We will go back to Shangri-La for sure and highly recommended

The Good.1. In-room dining gentleman who delivered our order was friendly, energetic and courteous. Bellman/porter was helpful too. 2. Water temp and pressure were great, and AC was cold enough. 3. The Beyond Meat Burger was so good that we ordered them for lunch and dinner. 4. Check-out was good. The lady on duty was empathetic, and courteous. She calmly listened to our comments on our stay experience, and offered an apology. 5. Gym was FAB! 6. The room, although feels old and looks old, but was very clean.
The Bad. 1. Check-in was 'interesting'. The lady was clearly speaking in Bahasa and referred to my fiancé as "Dia" when she spoke to her colleague about our stay entitlements, instead of using her name or the word "guest". For this brand, it was quite surprising. It is worth mentioning that we were the only ones checking in at the time, as the place was empty. 2. Breakfast entitlement was not clearly explained. This resulted in us having to call the operator and In room dining on 2 separate occasions, asking about the same thing, and were given two diferent explanations. The lady who delivered our breakfast the next morning informed us that the hotel will need to charge us for the a la carte order, and we explained that the gentleman from in room dining told us the night before in a phone call that a la carte was included in our breakfast entitlement. She then told us not to worry about it and she will verify it with her manager. We heard nothing back from her until check out. (The charges were removed from our bill in the end). 3. There was a box of complimentary mini chocolate cake in our room for our anniversary, which was deeply appreciated, but no cutleries were provided. 4. We ordered room service for dinner, and the dinner rolls were as hard as rocks. This is not an exaggeration.And since we had burgers for dinner, we didn't really need the rolls, so we didn't make a fuss about it.
All in all, it was a good stay. I understand that we paid a lot less for the room this time around compared to their normal rate, but still, we expected more from the brand.

This is my go-to hotel in KL. Well located, well appointed rooms and well trained staff really makes a difference. We were here for 7 days. The check-in experience was quite poor. Our room was not ready when we arrived. We had a late lunch at the Horizon lounge and had to wait for almost 2 hours...plus I had to enquire multiple times and the last time was waiting at the counter while the staff called to check if our assigned room was ready. The staff at the next counter intervened and helped swap a room for a later arriving guest (one person making a difference). The positive was that they made it up by waiving off charges for lunch (another one person making a difference). They delivered the wrong luggage up to the room but then quickly found the right one. From that point on...the stay just got better and better. Everything went smoothly and beautifully.
The Horizon lounge got very full every morning. Maybe it was the year end holidays and everyone was there at the same time. It was also very full during cocktail hour...so we tried the overflow space at Zipangu restaurant. We only did this once as it really wasn't very relaxing at all. I would say avoid the Horizon lounge except maybe for breakfast.
Special call out to the concierge team and the manager (Anwar) for being absolute rock stars. They were super attentive to our needs and helped make our stay feel very special. Anwar in particular was the one who turned this stay into a very memorable one for us. Thank you!

Thank you for your question but we did not have a need for the Tent.
But sent your request to the Hotel direct and I’m sure they will give you an answer straight away.
We have used the Hotel and stayed in the Horizon Suite Three times and are due back again in October.
I have nothing but great things to say about it and received Outstanding Guest Service.
Its depends on time n traffic situations but i can tell that taking grab from hotel is best since you will get best price to reach destination.Download Grab app n use it
As others have suggested I got the Grab app before arriving in KL.
The base fare (Aug '23) was MYR65, and tolls added a further MYR9.03
Journey time (late morning) was 50mins, and traffic wasn't too bad even when we got into the city centre.
