Prachtig nieuw complex! Op en top luxe in het hart van Kuala Lumpur voor een goede prijs. Op loopafstand meerdere luxe shopping malls, de Petronas Twin Towers en een overvloed aan winkels, restaurants en andere eetgelegenheden. Kortom ideale locatie.

Very spacious apartments, about 50-60 sqm, really a lot of space for comfort living with big kitchen and giant bed (2.5-3 meters wide)! I got lucky - apartments was on 51th floor with a fantastic views to Petronas towers. More incredible panoramic city views you will get from the rooftop swimming pool and terrace. Perfect location - in ~10 mins walking there are Petronas twin towers, Suria KLCC luxury mall, Avenue K mall and the LRT station. If you're interested in keeping fit the Star Suites is right choice cuz it also has a big gym equipped almost like a professional gym. No doubt this is my favorite place to stay in KL city center from now on!

Used TripAdvisor booking partner for two night stay. It’s a beautiful building in an ideal location. But beware this not hotel but a leased residence unit. Property manager is only contact via WhatsApp. There is no one at the facility other than guards and cleaning. Our property rep switched our room when we arrived and ended up on the lowest floor in a new unit that was not quite ready for use. Still had decor sitting on the floor waiting to be put up. We were asked to provide entire stay cost up front in cash. Fine print buried in polices did in fact state that, but the property manager failed to inform us prior to arrival. This caused us much stress as we didn’t have that amount of cash and had difficult time finding a way to get cash advance. We wasted precious part of our two days trying to get cash. The bed was in comfortable and had dirty sheets and towels. We even found dead roach and a live gecko. There was yellow stains in the toilet lid that would not come out. It has single bath room to share but hot water may be limited if you are taking several showers in a row. Swimming pool was nice but no services like pool towels. One nice thing was the suite had built in power adapters. Overall not bad place to stay as long as your expectations are set correctly. There a reason it’s inexpensive.

Used a Guesthouse provider instead of Star Suites. Would recommend not using Hosts as mine didn't even have a contact number just an email that nobody responded to. Was lucky enough that the front office for star suites knew the contact which we called while waiting in the lobby. Host seemed uninterested, but the room given was in great condition. Rooftop pool for building 1s view is the worst from the 3 towers so try staying in another. There is no pool service at any pool and the rooftop pool is very small. Rooftop cafe in building 1 had no food options but there's a public BBQ area by the pool.

This stay was spoiled by an incident with security at the pool (facilities) on the 6th floor. We had already been to the pool on previous days with no problem, there were usually 1-2 security staff walking around, they had seemed fine before (we had nodded, said thanks etc), however this day 1 of the security staff decided that my wife's swimming costume (which is a modest 1-piece, with a looser / frillier outer layer) was actually a dress of some sort, not a swimsuit. We explained that it was definitely a swimsuit - my wife bought it at least 3-4 years ago from the swimwear section at a department store, she has used it at many pools and hotels with no problem. It is quite clear from the structure and the fabric that it is a swimsuit, not a dress. Also you would think that based on common sense, why would my wife come to the pool at 8am with swimming goggles but not have a swimsuit. And why was it OK other days, but not that day. Anyway, we thought the guard might accept that this was indeed a swimsuit, however instead he clearly felt this was a major security incident which required immediate escalation and it turned out he had called for backup, so a full team of 5-6 male security guards arrived while I was at the other end of the pool and demanded to inspect my wife's swimsuit. The person who appeared to be the security / facilities manager for the floor did not attempt to improve the situation and was instead quite rude and angry with us. By this point neither of us felt like swimming so we left the pool. I complained afterwards at the ground floor reception, the staff seemed a bit sympathetic but explained that they don't control facilities / building management. I tried going back to the 6th floor pool but there was some corporate event going on and the only management person was a woman who mumbled something about talking to the security staff later and clearly wanted me to go away as soon as possible. The security guard who started the situation looked happy. It wasn't really clear who was actually in charge. So no-one really seemed to feel that it was worth apologising for having kicked us out of the pool we had paid to use despite the fact we were following the rules, and everyone seemed to think it was OK to have a team of hostile male security guards examining my wife in her swimming outfit (surely a better alternative, if they really feel a swimsuit constitutes a major security incident, would have been to ask 1 female member of staff to check with my wife that it was indeed a swimsuit). I would suggest staying somewhere else in KL where someone is actually willing to take responsibility for staff behaviour to guests. Because the building/facilities management don't seem linked to the front desk who handled our booking, it seems like they simply don't care. Never had any experience of this level of unpleasantness before and it seemed completely out of proportion to the situation, we were glad to leave because we no longer felt comfortable with the building security staff.
