Stayed here for 2 nights in March. Hotel is in a great location, close to good food street and about 15 minutes walk from Chinatown and other attractions. Really nice boutique style with friendly service, our room was on the front and was a decent size with a small balcony, only downside was it was quite noisy due to proximity...

Really enjoyed this well-situated 'boutique' hotel. Our room was on the ground floor and internal facing which meant no windows and inappropriate wardrobe choices as a consequence, but it was quiet and very comfy. Although it is right next to Jalon Alor and near a "strip", we slept like logs and weren't disturbed at all. Staff helpful and charming giving...

Spend 2 nights at Anggun. Cosy and very relaxing boutique hotel in the center of the city. Friendly staff, good size rooms. Breakfast is average -. They offer a spa and treatments are good. Next to the hotel you will find the best Indian restaurant, Tg's Nasi Kandar! Will return.

Was eating at the restaurant next (which serves good cheap food) and stumbled upon some youngsters with instruments. Went in there for a beer and before I knew, I wad celebrating Chinese New Year with the staff. Kind and friendly people running the place with an outstanding massage.

Room: book a suite room... The room was large and spacious. Perfect for a couple room. Furniture a little traditional based from the hotel design.. mind that, during my arrival, the room windows was widely open. This cause mosquitoes flying around my room. Asked the staff to settle it and they brought me electrical mosquitoes killer. Minibar: 1 larger bootle...

A small boutique hotel ideally situated for the local cheap eating area. Very clean, very tidy, and pleasant staff. Breakfast was cooked in the restaurant/cafe next door and brought through. Problem with ceiling fan was soon sorted. Workings of the shower was a bit of a mystery but again soon sorted. Would be happy to stay here again.

Modest boutique hotel in fantastic spot, walking distance to restaurants & food markets. Friendly helpful staff, comfortable bed, small but very clean room. You must have a massage from in hotel spa, a great way to ease tired feet & legs from exploring. Highly recommend.

The location of the hotel is excellent and only a block away from Jalan Alor. Food choices at night are really good. The room itself was comfortable and had a full desktop computer hooked up to the TV, which was great to access internet and backup photos for the trip. I would stay there again in another stay in KL.

For KL, this is a good choice if you don't want a large impersonal hotel. For the price it's a little tired, and my room didn't have a window so choose carefully, but it's a world away from a high rise hotel.

We stayed here for one night only. The room is spacious, 1 single bed, 1 queen bed and a fold-able bed, can accommodate 4 adults. It has a unique (Thai) looks and feel to the design of the room and hotel. The room has a TV, a coffee & tea maker. The hotel is nearby/walking distant to the nearby famous...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
An oasis of style and calm, this is one of KL's most characterful traditional boutique hotels located in Bukit Bintang, within 1 minute walk to the shopping malls, world-famous Jalan Alor hawker food street, restaurants, 15 minutes walk to Petronas Twin Towers, KL Convention Centre, Chinatown and 10 minutes drive to KL Golf & Country Club. Rates include free WIFI in room and whole hotel, internet broadband connected to LCD TV in all rooms and breakfast at the rooftop restaurant. Recently featured in CNNGo as one of the best 4-star boutique hotels in KL! Converted from two 1920's shophouses, most of the rooms look out onto a peaceful inner courtyard. The decor is incredibly tasteful, without sacrificing comfort levels for the sake of style. All the guest rooms have beautiful, handcrafted queen size teak beds, wooden furniture and wooden flooring. And the decor is traditional Malaccan with a contemporary twist. It has a lovely atmosphere. Why: Location, location, location. Authentic and delicious Malaysian food is minutes away; the city's best night life, within staggering distance. The shopaholic within will be duly fulfilled by city's highest concentration of malls. The Anggun's unique look and feel is a definite departure from big-chain homogeneity, perfect for the urbanite leisure or business traveler looking for an authentic and modern way to spend their time in Kuala Lumpur. ... more   less
