I have always loved W Hotels due to its vibes. My first W stay was in Seminyak Bali, and it left a very memorable impression. When W KL first open few years ago, I booked a stay a few months after its opening. I was rather disappointed during that stay and have not returned since then. Fast forward few years down the road, after the prolonged lock down, my husband & I decided to revisit this place with our 2 girls (age 6 & 11). We checked in after 7pm and the process was smooth. We were given a card to have a snack at WooBar everyday from 6-7:30pm as there's no lounge in W KL. We were also upgraded to a Spectacular Room (with the Twin Tower view). It was indeed Spectacular! After dropping our luggages, we went to the Woo Bar, it was about 10mins past 7:30pm, however the staff at WooBar accepted us graciously. We were actually entitled to 2 free drinks but they allowed our kids to have another one each. We were also given different sweets & desserts (we were told that is because our kids were the only kids at WooBar). We thought that is all, but soon after we were given 4 sets of snacks! It was really generous of them! Breakfast spread was good (but not as good as 3 years ago, I remember we had coconuts & smoothies). It was very crowded (on both the days we were there) but the staff were all very pleasant & efficient. Pool was nice with an awesome view of the Twin Tower. I like the huge floaties provided. One down side is that there were guests swimming in clothes (not swimsuits) and the pool staff did not do anything about it. I really hope W KL will enforce the swimsuit only rule. We also went for the Festive Afternoon Tea at WooBar and again, the staff were amazing. Super efficient and friendly. Room was spacious. We had 2 double beds. It was comfortable. Housekeeping staff did a good job in cleaning & turndown service. I was upset Bliss toiletries has been replaced by Momo. Bliss was what attracted me to W Hotels in the first place. There were NO kids amenities in the room. I would appreciate if they can put a stool for families with smaller kids. Other kids amenities like toiletries, kids robe, kids room slippers or colouring stuffs will make W KL a better hotel for kids to stay. I stayed at level 18 but the horns and noise from the traffic down the road can be heard in the middle of the nights. Fortunately my kids are not light sleepers. In conclusion W KL is not a kids friendly hotel but the staff made all the difference, the staff made the hotel kids friendly!

Seamless check in. Nice rooms and view. Very attentive hospitality everywhere from front desk, especially Dholly who attended to us, Flock, Woobar, Yen and Wetdeck. Minor encounters with noisy neighbours (loud partygoers at midnight), soundproofness from the traffic around city and cig butts from the residence above but it’s not really W’s problem, superb efforts to take care of guests. Would definitely return.

I spent 2 nights at W. First day was almost flawless - seamless check in, complimentary welcome drinks, early check in. Room space was generous, beautiful view of the twin towers and one very big bathtub which my son thoroughly enjoyed. Young and vibrant vibes makes u feel like college days once again. Then came the nightmare. From 10pm -12am noise from the traffic is quite bad (the siren from the ambulance was continuously going off). From 12am-3am noise from partygoers from the next door was very bad. Though the rooms can only accommodate 3-4 pax, a bunch of youngsters in a group of 7-8 people were constantly going in and out of the room (banging the door behind them obviously) and laughing and talking very loudly at the elevator (my room was close to the elevator). Finally at 3am I manage to fall asleep and woke up at 6am. That's the worst sleep I ever had. Had 4 shots of expresso at Flock. Thank you to the staff who kept offering us coffee. It helped kept us awake. After breakfast we went to the pool and my son was using one of the float until a foreign object landed next to him on the float. We alerted the pool staff and they identified it as a cigarette butt. Someone have thrown a cigarette butt from above. It's unbelievable and dangerous. To compensate for our bad experience, the front desk offered us free flow of drinks at Woo Bar but when we got there the staff was unaware and we had to play postman for awhile passing message from one person to another. It's not really a big deal but it shows the lack of communication and understanding between the staff. Today is my last morning here and I don't think anything great will happen after this. So here's my review.

Not suitable for Family With Small Kids...The hotel is cool and fancy, however, we were not able to sleep since someone was playing loud music in the middle of the night. It was indeed an unpleasant experience and would think twice to stay here again if you have small kids with you. The hotel is more suitable for couples.
