Guests have called out MOV Hotel for its stylish and modern charm, particularly noting the friendly staff and convenient, central location. While the rooms earn praise for their cleanliness and contemporary design, some visitors report they can be on the smaller side and occasionally noisy. The hotel's atmosphere and amenities, including a trendy rooftop pool and gym, contribute to its vibrant appeal.
However, there are mixed reviews about the value, as additional fees have raised concerns for some travelers. Cleanliness is generally celebrated, yet a few guests have pointed out housekeeping inconsistencies.

If you've ever stayed at a Moxy hotel, then that is what this hotel will remind you of. It has a very Moxy feel to it in terms of style, design and vibe.
We chose a room with a window (as if that's a luxury), and it was satisfactory; not as big as we may have wanted, but fine nonetheless.
There was no fridge.
Coming from cold Europe, the sunny weather enticed us to open the window, but the window had a warning on it that opening it would entail a fine. Fine! 😠
We asked for an extra towel once, and they said they would either charge us for it, or we'd have to give one in order to get a fresh one in return. 🙄
Additionally, in the drawer there was a list of items in the hotel room along with their prices incase you wanted to buy them 😂
Needless to say, the hotel did seem a *little* greedy for money!
The shower area was extremely unique, like a secret curved tunnel behind the wall, with perpetual disco light. The fluorescent yet dim lights were ever changing.
I feel like I have outgrown such funkiness and would prefer something normal rather than this quirky; hence, I feel this hotel is better suited for people under 30 😛
The toilet paper quality was horrible, which was not a huge deal for us, but for those who use it as their primary source of cleaning (ahem), it may be an issue.
The AC was slightly noisy, but it didn't bother us.
The lift was verry slow. It would take ages to arrive, and ages to go up.
The swimming pool area seemed lovely (we didn't use it), and my partner was happy with the gym.
The breakfast was all right. Though the variety wasn't huge, it was just enough. What I liked was that they'd include 1-2 local dishes. Had it not been for this, I may have not sampled these dishes at all!
The tea and coffee were a bit cold, which was a letdown.
The best part about this hotel was, however, its location. All the happening places of Bukit Bintang were in walking distance. Heck, everything one could need was in walking distance: grocery shops, cafes, restaurants, street spas, street shopping, street food, malls, laundry service. We didn't need to use public transport or taxi even once during our stay!
All in all, a relatively pleasant stay with only some minor annoyances.

We booked this hotel at the end of our stay and found it to be in the right location and very quiet after the hustle and bustle of Thailand. We were escorted to our room by one of the staff members rather than the bell hop and told how everything worked. We found the room spacious and well laid out.
The breakfast was good selection although few choices and the waiters were awaiting your every needs. As we had a late night flight we were able to leave the bags while we went shopping and use the pool facilities during the day. Given that we paid so little for the room I was very pleased with the quality of the room. All staff in this hotel are very friendly.

Great location for younger people, lots of bars etc
Although all fire precautions were in place ,the fire doors leading off to the corridors to the rooms were wedged open .There were signs on the doors that they should be closed.
After we had brought this to the attention of one of the staff, the fire doors in our floor (8) was closed in the evening. The fire doors in the other floors remained wedged one.
This is a fire hazard .
Our used tea cups in the room were not replaced for 2 days, had to ask for toilet paper & cleaning was questionable.

The title may seem a bit odd but there is good reasoning behind it, we stayed here for three nights as a british couple on holiday, before I book any hotels I always read the reviews on trip advisor, there are alot of pros and some cons to this hotel:
Pros
The location is great close to everything however opposite the hotel it appears like a bit of shanty town, not a great first impression
The hotel itself is modern and stylish
The roof top pool is nice although a little small
Room air con was terrible, it was soo noisey it kept us awake most nights, remember the weather in KL is very humid, you could turn the air con off but then it will get too hot
Room fridge - The problem is there isnt one, again in a hot country it would be nice to put drinks somewhere to keep them cool.
Breakfast - Cannot comment as we went to a near by coffee shop which was very good
In hind sight I wish I booked somewhere better such as the EQ hotel, yes it would probably cost twice as much more but it would be a five star experiance.
The air con and lack of fridge were simply deal breakers for me and any oversight on my part for not checking, why because you should be able to sleep in a cool room and be able to have a cold drink.
I think three stars is a fair review for this hotel.

+1
MOV Hotel, located in Bukit Bintang, offers a prime location just 5 minutes from Pavilion/Bukit Bintang Crossing and a mere 4 minutes to Jalan Alor. The hotel lobby is strikingly artistic, featuring a slide that adds a playful touch.
Check-in was swift, thanks to the several staff members assisting. A deposit of 200 ringgit and a tourism tax of 10 ringgit per night are required, which is very common in Kuala Lumpur hotels
The rooms are impeccably clean with separate shower and toilet facilities. The beds are comfortable, and the large windows provide beautiful views.
Guests can enjoy a range of facilities, including a swimming pool, gym, rooftop, and a communal lounge perfect for relaxing and very aesthetically pleasing.
The hotel provides excellent recommendations for nearby dining options, including Majie Cafe and Jersey Jack Gelato (must visit!), both offering special discounts for hotel guests. Additionally, there are tours and galleries like Ur-Mu Bukit Bintang worth visiting.
Additionally, you can request a foot soak to rejuvenate after a long day. The staff are friendly and helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable.
Surrounding the hotel there are numerous restaurants, bars, a 24-hour minimart, and laundry service.
Overall, MOV Hotel is an excellent choice for both families and solo travelers. I look forward to returning.

The receptionists Saiful and Pazli was very helpful when we arrived early at the hotel at 10 am. They usually charging 100 Ringgit for a early check in, but both of them were very friendly and didn't charged anything. Very friendly hotel staff throughout the hotel. Spotless modern rooms. Great breakfasts, very good location and nice roof top pool. Thank you again Saiful and Pazli for your kindness. The hotel management should be very proud to have such flexible and experienced receptionists.

The location of this hotel is fantastic. You’re walking distance to Alor, malls, restaurants and a boatload of shops! I gave 4 stars instead 3 because of how inexpensive this place is. Staff was friendly. One thing I found it a little odd was when I checked out the front desk person called cleaning staff to check my room before checking me out. Im a frequent traveler and never had happen before. Maybe somehow I looked suspicious to him? The room was basic and clean-ish. There’s only one plug in outlet I could find by the desk but there were 2 usb plug ins though. I only had 2 bath towels, no face or hand towels. There was no closet so you kind of just hang your clothes on the “monkey bar” like you see on the pics. There was only one bottle of soap that you’d use for hand washing and showering. Yah you have to move it to the shower from the sink back and forth. The room was small but bed was comfy. It was clean-ish but some stains were visible. There’s no door to the shower. I’d say this is great for a single person or maybe a couple, or 2 close friends. didn’t use the pool so can’t tell you about that.
