I should have been put off as we were walking up the stairwell as the smell of urine overwhelmed us. I am no by any means a so-called "flashpacker"... I am more than happy to rough it to save a dollar however this place was particularly grim. Don't let the cutesy foyer fool you with it's beach/tropical theme or the...

The staff couldn't have looked any more miserable when we arrived. There was a European working behind the desk who was less than helpful, barely said a word when we handed our money over, he gave us our key and that was it, we just has to find our room. The corridors and staircases stunk of urine. The window in...

The hostel itself was pretty barebones. It was clearly trying to be a nicer location than it is, having a Japanese garden feel with rickety boards in the common area, and vinyl wood printed material covering all the floors. Blankets and toilet paper were not provided and the hostel itself was terribly not and stuffy. This would not have bothered...

We spent one night at Wheelers Guest House and we will surely repeat the experience if we go back to KL. The price was really affordable (breakfast included), the room was spacious enough, not like the rest of the guesthouse we checked before, clean and the staff was super friendly, very helpful and smiling all the time. Plus, if you...

I was happy enough with wheelers it's exactly what I expected for a place this cheap, It's not fancy but doesn't really bother me it's only a place to rest at night. The air con was quite loud at times and there was rubbish under the beds in our room but staff were nice and it's a good location.

This is under new management, so most of the reviews below do not apply. Firstly, this is a budget guest house, don't expect pretty. But it's what the new owners have been left with. We had a double room with AC & bathroom which was nice. The staff in this place are really kind & they are make it the...

I had a really nice time at wgh. The staff was very friendly, talkative and especially helpfull (if need be..). There is a lot of change now since the new Manager is trying to fix the problems. I do think that for a cheap price you should not expect the Ritz, but it's clean and toast, jam and coffee will...

The place is under new management. Apparently the place was trashed before it was handed over, so there is a lot of work to be done. I am currently staying here in a small dorm room. The beds are comfortable, but I would suggest paying for air conditioning if you can afford it. It gets hot during the day with...

“I've been on the second floor, and it has an AC unit, 2 fans, and plenty of windows to let the breeze and sunlight in. Also, the rooms on this floor require a password the area, so that's nice. It's also the farthest from the bathroom, so there is no stinky bathroom smell :) (Not that the bathroom smells, but it's nice to be away from it just in case).”
