I think the biggest asset of this ryokan is its general manager who works very long hours with complete devotion to his job to keep his customers happy. Can't forget how kind and polite he was. The view from my room was absolutely fantastic and the food was nice as well. So this hotel has some great elements to offer....

This ryokan is a part of a HMI hotel group, in fact there is a larger sister hotel attached to it. However everything was simply superior at this location. After a adventurous ascend up in hill in a taxi, We were greeted by genuinely happy staff. Service is better than that of JW marriott, Conrad or 4 seasons. The facilities...

For us it was not the first time to stay overnight (this time two nights)in a riokan, but certainly it was our best experience.as we do not mind sitting and sleeping on the tatam floor. The Point of view was not, that >> traditional dinner and breakfast was very good, room(s)big enaugh (including small balcony) >>wooden bathtub and jap.turbo toilet existed...

Staying at Koyotei for a night was a highlight of our four day stay in Nagasaki. Finding the place by car was a bit confusing, but worth the effort. The room itself was wide, had tatami floors, a nice bathroom with a wooden tub, and most strikingly wide windows that led out onto a balcony with a stunningly beautiful view...

Our family visits Japan every year. Why? As your have been coming to another country 3 to 4 times a year and spent at least 10 days each trip. You would feel that foods are just nice and places are so too. However We could get bored with it. But one thing we never feel bored or annoyed. It is...

Since this ryokan is high on a steep hill overlooking Nagasaki, either the hotel shuttle (2 other neighboring hotels are run by the same company) or a taxi is essential to get to the hotel. The view from the room was amazing. The room itself is fine and the meals were very good. The staff are friendly and helpful, but...

Excellent value for a family I thought with a fabulous, and I mean fabulous - view over the city and harbour. But there's only about 4 rooms with this view - so get a Japanese speaker to help you make the booking. The room that we had was huge - a tatami room for eating in (a nice dinner and...
