I stayed with my girlfriend here for 4 nights in early January. The rooms are the most spacious I`ve encountered in Japan and are double the size of some of the places that we have stayed in. Rooms are fairly well appointed with a water boiler, TV with 2 english channels and roughly 12 others in Japanese, fairly comfortable beds,...

We had 3 double rooms (wife and 2 daughters with their husbands and 2 friends) and 1 twin (8) adults, the rooms were very clean and modern. Plenty to choose from at Breakfast, price was the same as most 5 star hotels, in Europe and other parts of the world. I think there are 8 restaurants to choose from, we...

As my husband and I had never visited Japan before, we did not know what to expect from the Sheraton Miyako when we arrived for our honeymoon; however, the moment we entered the lobby, we were far from disappointed. As we stepped off the elevator, we were immediately greeted by the staff who promptly checked us in with no problem....

Our first stop in Japan. Arrived at the hotel at around 11am, it was good that they allowed us to check in (though it is not unusual that I get checked in as early as 9am with no charge when I travel for work in Japan). We were given a tiny room which frankly made it a really unpleasant stay,...

Finding the hotel was easy, it's directly connected to Uehonmachi station and has easy access to Namba. Finding the front desk was another matter, it's hidden away in a corner on the second floor. Check-in was busy and took a long time, compounded by the hotel payment policy. I have no problem paying for the room in advance but I...

The SMH is a nice hotel, which with a little bit of investment would be a great one. Firstly the rooms. Not over impressive! Extremely dated decor, with horrible black marks across the ceiling where the AC pumps out: yuk! However nothing that a lick of paint wouldn't solve. Beds were fine, but the room had a sofa-bed settee that...

The hotel has rooms below Sheraton Standards. They try to make it up by putting lots of bathroom amenities in the bathroom. My main concerns are: - very poor lounge catering (no diet soft drinks, no wine, no snacks) - limited TV channel selection (just 2 international staions) - terrible breakfast (undrinkable coffee, canned fruits, very busy atmosphere) - limited...

Those pictures posted by travels certainly look nice, but the reality can be rather different. The hotel has renovated rooms, and very old, shabby rooms in desperate need of renovation. In my room the furniture was from the 70's, a part of plastic bathrooms flooring was loose (mold?), bed was rock hard and I could easily hear the traffic light...

The hotel is located away from Shinsaibashi and Amerika-mura, so you need to take a train or taxi to get anywhere. There are some sights nearby, I believe, but I did not visit them. You should know that there is not really much to see within Osaka's city limits, but rather in nearby historic Kyoto or Nara. Osaka is mostly...
