Certificate of Excellence
What is Certificate of Excellence?
TripAdvisor gives a Certificate of Excellence to accommodations, attractions and restaurants that consistently earn great reviews from travellers.
Stayed here for two nights during a week in Osaka. (Not consecutive nights) with a special room rate. Excellent hotel, comfy beds and superb staff. Disappointed that I was unable to arrange an earlier check in than 3pm
This big hotel has an imposing spacious lobby when you enter, boasting of a West Wing and a Tower Wing. The check-in was smooth and fast, as there are many counters.
The standard room we got was small. The room door was regular, and entering...More
This hotel has a grand entry / lobby but the room we had (c wing) was old and needed an update. A small room with a small double bed one side table and no room for your bags. Needs an update. Staff were helpful and...More
In Japan, the name of the hotel is quite known as the Imperial family used to stay at this hotel. However, compared to the many international hotels, the staff are not trained nor attentive enough to please global travelers.
Seems that this is nice hotel in this area, location wise it's really convenient and room is decent size. The restaurants and cafe they have is really top notch. Food is great. The price setting is great really affordable.

As your flight is 9 am and you want to arrive at Kansai Airport,KIX, 1.5 hours earlier, it means you have to be there at 730 am. Please note that at the airport, you have to take the shuttle train to get to another building before boarding the plane.
If your starting point is the RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka, you will not able to use the shuttle bus service which starts at 745 am.
You will have to take a taxi, which according to the hotel website, costs about Y1,000 and takes 10 mins, to JR Osaka Station. You will have to give an allowance of 15 mins at least to get to the correct platform 1 and wait for the train.
From the station, you need to buy a ticket for JR Kansai Airport Rapid Service for KANSAI AIRPORT. It costs Y1,190 and takes 60/70 mins.
According to the timetable for Nov 22 2017, if you take the 606 am train, you will arrive at KIX at 716 am so there is sufficient time for you. The next train at 654 am may be too late as it arrives at KIX at 8 am.
At platform 1, please board the train at the correct segment which is marked on the floor “ Kansai Airport”. Towards the last quarter of the journey, one part of the train will detach itself and proceed to KIX, whilst the other part goes to another destination,so make sure you are in the correct coaches. A few stations before the detachment, announcements will be made in Japanese and English informing you to be in the correct coaches.
