I didn't like this place. Staff are friendly enough and wifi and location are both good. Capsules themselves are a decent size but that's about it, pillows are poor. The sauna/shower area is on the basement floor and are closed for cleaning between 11-3 so...More
Had always wanted to experience a capsule hotel and finally fulfilled my wish. The capsule hotel in Asahi Praza Shinsaibashi was great. Staff very friendly (even helping me with booking a taxi to visit the tuna markets and Auction).

My family will be traveling to Osaka this summer and would like to stay at this hotel for the experience, as it seems like a great hotel and we have never stayed in a capsule hotel before. My brother and I both have large tattoos that will be hard to cover- Is there a way we can use private bath facilities at this hotel, so as not to offend anyone in the public bathing areas? We don't want to offend anyone or be asked to leave the hotel due to our tattoos.

Hi Anita, Im not sure about the public bathing area or male area but the female area also had a shower room with individual showers you could use. Otherwise you could check the hotel policy as some places that house a lot of foreigners tend to be more lenient. I also have a tattoo on my shoulder and have been to a couple of places that say no tattoos. I just use a small towel to keep it covered best I can and no one has said anything to me.
