I went there with my husband as we arrived late at night and the hotel is located near to Shin-imamiya Station (400 metres), direct train from Kansai airport via Nankai Line (58 minutes journey-JPY920). I booked the double room but we were being given the quad room (1 double decker bed ,1 single bed and 1 roll-away). Nonetheless, we were...

When I first noticed the prices at Hotel Mikado Osaka, I couldn´t believe it. We always hear about how expensive Japan is, especially Osaka. It´s cheaper than a hostel with more privacy and confort. I paid USD12 for a very simple but nice room, with 2 bunkbeds, but only me in the room. You can also book a Japanese style...

Overall I enjoyed my stay here. The staff was excellent and spoke good English and they were willing to offer advice, plus give 10% cash refund if you went to Familymart and got food or drinks and got a stamped receipt. The room was small and there was a community bathroom and I didnt sleep great since I am tall...

It's very easy to locate this hotel from Dobutusen-Mae station (Midosuji Line) just follow the instructions provided by the hotel or you can even search it in youtube so you could familiarize the direction. There are a lot of good dining places around the hotel even late at night. I've stayed in a nice Japanese style single room so I...

I stayed a Hotel Mikado for 5 nights in April 2014. I stayed with my boyfriend in a traditional Japanese style twin room. We arrived from Australia late at night. The directions provided to us by the hostel were very clear and easy to understand. We got only one JR train from Kansai airport directly to the hostel. From there...

Mikado Hotel I stayed here only one night, it was a pleasant experience, located a few meters away from the nearest subway and conveniently connected to the city's airport. Reception and check-in fast and easy enough, I noticed some trouble for the staff to speak English. This accommodation is suitable for those who have a limited budget and unpretentious. Simple...

I stayed at Hotel Mikado for one night in Osaka before moving to another hostel. I stayed in a single tatami room and found it quite uncomfortable. Maybe it's just the futon style, but I normally enjoy futons. The mix shared bathrooms were not super clean and the whole place had a dank smell and feel. Perhaps it's due to...

I stayed at Hotel Mikado in April of 2014 with my girlfriend in a Japanese style twin room. For western travelers, if you want to experience something different with your accommodation, try the Japanese style room. It is basically a tatami mat with a mattress over the top of it. It is awesome to sample a different style of accommodation,...
