We stayed at this hotel at the end of June, for 4 days. The people at this hotel are so nice, you are welcomed at the door by the general manager himself, plus a number of other people. Each person here is nicer than the next. From the concierges, to the waiters at breakfast, to the reception employees, and on...

This hotel is a very good choice for Kyoto. It has a great location, plenty of amenities, nice rooms, a pretty good staff, and depending on your rate is a very good value. I want to caution that many reviews for this hotel imply it is a 5 star hotel comparable to a Park Hyatt, and that simply is not...

We wanted to choose a comfortable hotel in Kyoto. Japan hotels are famous for their relatively small size. So we chose an international brand. We aimed at comfortness and good sleep, but it turned out a surprise! The room is comfortable and the hotel is good enough. But the neighbourhood is super! Sanjūsangen-dō is nest door. The Kyoto museum is...

Wow, what can I say. We stayed at this fantastic hotel when visiting Kyoto, and we were really impressed by the design, style, service, culinary and rooms. We were greeted by the General Manager Yokoyama San and escorted to a fabulous suite, overlooking a zen garden. The room is pleasantly designed, with warm wood furnishing and offered a lovely welcome...

Everything was absolutely perfect in this hotel. Feeling a little 'lost in translation' upon arrival in Japan, the hotel made up for everything. Excellent staff. Perfect beds and lovely food. And of course the hotel's got those interesting Japanese toilets everywhere ;)

My family of 5 (3 children under 5) stayed here for 6 days in June. We had a suite with a separate tatami mat room and huge bathroom area. The bathtub alone could fit my entire family! The breakfast area was spacious and usually very quiet. The staff took great care of my kids and always had a high chair...

Stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Kyoto this week for 4 nights and though the hotel was wonderful! The property design combines the traditional Japanese touches with modern architecture and amenities; making western guests especially get a good feel for the Japanese style, yet still enjoying the comforts of the western world. The location of the hotel is quite convenient,...

The hotel is very well located, walking distance to some noteworthy sites and provides easy access to others. The rooms are carefully furnished (they have to be as they are so small) and are neat but again, small (to the point that I was grateful we were travelling with our smaller bags!). We are Hyatt diamond but no upgrades were...

As a frequent traveller, I have stayed in numerous hotels. This hotel was amazing. From the first moment I arrived, I was blown away by the service and the quality of the place. Exceptional staff, kind, efficient, knowledgeable. My room, a standard room, was perfect in every regards, very comfortable bed, great bathroom, well fitted and extremely clean. Quiet location,...

The hotel was fantastic, with comfortable rooms, an extensive buffet breakfast and staff who were always willing to help with advice. The location was also great – right in the centre of Kyoto with a bus stop right out the front. However, this is your typical Hyatt Hotel. If you are in Kyoto for sightseeing, there are a number of...
