Stayed at the Hyatt Regency during recent stay in Kyoto. Found staff to be reasonably helpful. Was underwhelmed by the room amenities and size. I would say the room amenities were rather Spartan. The bed was not particularly comfortable, linens were not great quality and bathroom amenities quite basic. On positive side, they did have a breakfast buffet that was...

We enjoyed a great stay here with the concierge team providing many great and insightful sightseeing, onsen and restaurant recommendations for us. I would not recommend walking to the hotel from the train station as we did, it turned out to be quiet a walk! The lobby here is quiet amazing and really gives you a great sense of arrival....

Stayed at the Hyatt Kyoto for 5 nights and enjoyed every moment. The room is very spacious by Japanese standards, clean and we thoroughly enjoyed the shower/bath area. The staff was genuinely friendly and room service excellent. Its located in a quiet, lovely setting away from the hustle and bustle of Kyoto city. We took taxis to get to shrines,...

Have stayed at the Hyatt in Kyoto for 2 nights with my family. The hotel is very clean, well presented and the rooms are very nice with lots of charging stations which is a MUST these days! The buffet breakfast was very nice but with one thing that bothered us was the staff there were too efficient, they tend to...

Second visit at Kyoto Hyatt Regency during the NYE holiday period, and still a great hotel experience. The overall feeling is that it has a kind of "inn-spirit", and I totally agree with reviewers about the attitude of the staff. Obviously, they are trained to some higher standards of receiving guests; yet they seem to do so effortlessly and with...

We visited this hotel over Christmas. The staff where extremely friendly and very helpful nothing was to much bother for them. Had a standard room that was excellent, clean and well laid out, and for Japan very large. Eat in 3 of the hotel restaurants inc their Japanese one, this had excellent food and the sushi bar was great fun...

This is a fabulous hotel. Located in a beautiful part of Kyoto--near parks and shrines and only a short taxi ride from the station. It is calm, fabulously landscaped and appointed, and very friendly. Expensive but not outrageous. The restaurants are not the most memorable, but Kyoto has an excellent array of places to eat. I have stayed here 4...

The hotel is a new property and our stay was absolutely perfect. Rooms are very big for Japanese standards. Location is perfect to see Kyoto and we are well pleased that we chose this place. Breakfast (huge selection of both English and American) was the part for me given that I was a bit tired of the Japanese food. There...

This is such a wonderful hotel, we try to return as often as we can. Peaceful, beautiful, service is incredibly considerate and professional. Just about everything you can ask for from a Hotel. There are not many rooms, this is more like a boutique hotel, but it is of such high quality. Rooms are very tasteful in a very Japanese...

My wife and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency in early November. The colours of the momiji (Japanese maples) and gingko trees were breathtaking. The hotel is well-located opposite the Kyoto Museum and next to the Sanjusangendo Temple. A short walk takes one to the Kamogawa, where there is a train station. A brisk stroll along the Kamogawa in the...
