We stayed for 2 nights during cheery blossom. We took a little while to find the MK taxi store across the road in front of Kyoto Station for the complimentary ride. The location of the hotel is not that bad. A short ride with taxi can go to most of the attractions in Kyoto. The hotel shows age but well...

Best hotel experience we have ever had. I read previous reviews and honestly say that some of the complaints are simply not warranted. Most dealt with hotel location, which I find to be no problem at all as it is easily walking distance to Kieran line and train station. You will not find a better overall hotel experience anywhere in...

Kyoto magic drifts over you the minute you arrive. Despite reading rave reviews on Trip Advisor I was anxious due to the boring exterior in the pictures. But I can say I was NEVER more pleasantly surprised by a hotel. We spent our Kyoto time on walking adventures and discovered temples in every direction as well as incredible food. Our...

Great hotel with all luxury amenities you might expect. Mattresses are perfect if you don't like them too soft! Best part of the room is the spacious bathroom which makes bathing an event to be enjoyed on itself!

Have stayed here many times and I am still amazed on how good this place really is. This hotel is what other hotels strive to be. Staff are brilliant and cannot help you enough , rooms are fantastic and the food exceptional. You will not be disappointed. A must for anyone staying in Kyoto.

Outstanding service in all areas of this beautiful hotel. You have to try the strawberry cake upstairs in the restaurant! My fourth stay in as many years and the quality has only gotten better. I would recommend it to anyone.

The hotel is remarkable. It has a truly Japanese flavor with all of the Western amenities. Service is first class. Staff is incredibly hospitable and eager to go above and beyond. General Manager Miriam Varoli can be seen everywhere throughout the hotel making guests feel right at home. The food is extraordinary and varied including Italian, Continental and, of course,...

The room was fantastic - very quiet! The biggest disappointment is that most tours do not pick up or drop off at this property for some reason. Tours start/end at Kyoto Station. But, it was a good opportunity to get some exercise. A hearty breakfast in the lobby restaurant is a great way to start the day.

Stayed here during our Kyoto visit for one night. The hotel is really beautiful inside in a traditional japanese style. The room (watch the pictures) was very nice and warm. Didnt used any of the restaurants or bars but there were pleanty available. Concierge recommendation was only ok and not a 100% hit. The location is OK for Kyoto but...
