Friendly staff, lovely dorms, very clean and it's in a great location. Lovely ramen noodle restaurant down the road with very good prices also really nice udon noodle restaurants very near by. I would recommend to anyone. My girlfriend and I walked to the train station most days as it only takes about 20 minutes.

Good hostel with friendly staff. We had some problems and they tried to help. Some of the most touristic places are nearby and a the touristic bus lines stop at 3 minutes from the hostel. I would totally repeat

My first time staying in a shared dorm room and I was pleasantly surprised. Bed was comfortable and the curtains allowed privacy. Everything was clean enough and comfortable enough and the staff were friendly and helpful. Location was great, only a ten minute walk away from Kyoto attractions and Gion district as well as being close to loads of little...

Pros: The curtains on the beds are great, gives you privacy and absorbs some sound. Good location. Good comforters and A/C. Free shampoo and conditioner. Wifi is good. Sheets are clean. Cons: The beds are foam with a wooden board underneath. I don't think they replace the foam all that much. It starts on the 2nd floor, so even if...

Maybe it's just our luck (or unlucky) because our stay just full of upsetting experience. Due to the change of our arriving date because our airline decided to do so, we had to make additional one day earlier booking in addition of the initial 4-day booking. So two bookings: (1) first day, (2) the next four days. When we arrived,...

Very nice little place in Kyoto, stayed for a couple of nights whilst visiting Kyoto, certainly worse places to stay! Very friendly staff that are willing to help in whatever way they can. Check-in is after four so if you arrive early no extra sleep, but you are able to leave your bags which is helpful.

The location is good, each dorm has a croton, and somewhat convenient lounge room. Based on Japanese standards, this place is very dirty, compare to other hostels, the same style. Toilets and carpets are dirty, which makes you think about your bed sheets. Budget stay, but can find better ones.

I stayed at this hostel for 4 nights and had a really great time. The hostel had a nice welcoming atmosphere and it was easy to make friends in the common area! Bed was comfortable, each bed with cute little pantry(?) in which I stored items that I use daily. There was good amount of space underneath each bunk bed...

Good location, close to several bus stops and temples. Cafe is nice. Beds are comfy, but if you have antsy neighbors who like to move around a lot, just know that the frames are a bit squeaky. It's also on a busy corner which makes it great for access, but can be loud with sirens if your a light sleeper.
